If they had the power I'm sure they'd do even worse. Israel is working on ethnic cleansing, Hamas wishes they could jump straight to genocide. To hell with both vile regimes.

 

Half way there, now they just need to add Hamas and other Palestinians authorities to the list of war criminals. I do not see evidence of genocide on either side, but I do see mass murder on both sides.

 

Israel got an active policy to as much as they can prohibit the free flow of food, clean water and medical aid into Gaza from Egypt and from the sea and from the air as well as from their own border with Gaza. The amount of food, clean water and medical aid that can get it is nowhere enough due to this active policy of Israel, and subsequently it's genocidal. It'll be a walk in a park to prove this in the ICC.

 

Perhaps, but what real power does the ICC have especially when the USA is firmly on Israel’s side? Do the ICC’s rulings have teeth?

 

It's a court procedure without some kind of veto power by the US. They can prosecute him without him being there, making him a fugitive on the run. Anybody can just deport the convicted to be pushed into jail, legally. So at best the convicts can go into hiding for life to escape prison.

Been wondering about the MOTIVE behind the South African government throwing the Zionist Israeli government under the bus.

I suspect that BRICS might be the key because at the last meeting in South Africa there were a number of other nations wanting to join INCLUDING Saudi Arabia. The ANC government is as corrupt AF and the Saudi's have plenty of money to BUY whatever they want so it would not surprise me if this was the source.

 

Saudi Arabia, like most Arab countries, wants Hamas gone and is ready to fight against it until the last drop of Israeli blood. Hamas is the proxy terrorist army of Iran, Arabs' archenemy. Except for Syria and Qatar, Arab countries wouldn't do anything to jeopardize an Israeli victory against Hamas. Their leaders pay lip service to the "Palestinian cause", nothing more. I'm quite sure that at least some Arab leaders are begging America to help Israel.

I'm looking at Russia and China, not Arab countries. Weakening US' allies in the region is certainly a top priority for both countries.

 

It is certainly possible that it could be the machinations of Comrade Xi or the Kremlin Gremlin but harming the image of the Zionist Israeli government is still in the interests of the Saudi Arabians even if all it does is drag them all down to the same level of KILLERS who belong behind bars.

I harbor no illusions regarding Saudi Arabia or other Arab countries. However, their leaders are making efforts to change attitudes toward Western countries in general, and Israel in particular, and to modernize their countries. Baby steps, granted, but they should be encouraged to do so, not held to impossible (for them, right now) high standards by those who have long enjoyed freedoms in enlightened civilizations.

Upheavals in the Middle East tend to spill over into the rest of the world, as we've recently seen with ISIS. That's why the relatively moderate Arab governments in the region should be supported by Western countries, despite atrocious human rights records. Western influences will greatly help those countries find their way out of tribalism and theocracy, quashing the extremists in their midst.

We don't want the Kremlin Gremlin to replace the US as a friend and ally of Arab countries.

1. Russia and China are both middle of the road in the Israel v Hamas fight, with much closer ties with Israel than Iran even today. Their statements and influence in the Brics forum mainly diluting the message from everyone else.
2. Until the Ukraine war, and especially during the Trump administration, the Russians were fundamentally an enemy of Iran, in cahoots with the most extreme right wing forces in the US and Israel. For the Russians, their primary enemy are 'neo-NATO globalist forces' mostly associated with the Democratic party, the Atlantic wing of the GOP, and portions of the Israeli establishment closest to these forces. Their posture towards Iran is generally treacherous, exploitive, contemptuous, but presently somewhat needy. Otherwise, if the Russians didn't suffer from some of the worst symptoms of the insecurity complex at the core of most bigoted minds, and hadn't collected so much trash around them, the real key to almost all their problems would lie in a genuine alliance with Iran (and vice versa). Instead, until recently, they were mainly chasing 'white supremacists', Trump, Netanyahu, and breeding ultra Zionists, despite the huge latent support base they could find in the global south.
3. The Chinese, despite innate sympathy with Iran, also are careful to tread lightly, focusing more on their economic relations with Iran's enemies. They are fundamentally slaves of the global economic order, albeit now richer ones being interested in a status commensurate with their actual contribution in world trade and industrial production. They are keenly aware the US wants to cut them back to size, working to push a new India (a far cry of the one with its non-aligned, anti-colonialist, and Persianate elite, past) to replace these neo-Indians to manage the slave work force that is needed. But the Chinese are very cautious and unwilling to take the necessary steps to set up to the plate.
