there is a news story about various constipated calvinists wanting to "censor" swearing and nudity on television. Of course, their excuse is to PROTECT THE CHILDREN!!! It always is. What these bozos forget (or hope we forget) is that there already exists a method of stopping such things - several methods, in fact. They all relate to something we call THE REMOTE. Either change the channel or don't turn the bloody TV on. Try talking to your kids. Hey, it's a concept. Now, some idiot will probably say this is SOCIALIST.
I have to say with technology at the point it's at there's no valid argument for preventing nudity from being broadcast on TV. We have ratings, we have V-chips. It's easy for someone to go into their TV settings and turn off programs they don't want to see. You know that and using the remote as you mentioned. God forbid these parents have the internet in their houses. You want to talk about access to pornography and swearing!
