Special counsel seeks 'narrowly tailored' gag order against Trump, citing 'disparaging and inflammatory attacks'

About time too.! Any other defendant would have had one of these in place weeks ago…The Stain needs to be told to shut it, or have his bail revoked.

“Special counsel Jack Smith and his team have requested a federal judge in Washington, D.C., impose a "narrowly tailored" order restricting former President Donald Trump from making public statements that they argue could "present a serious and substantial danger of prejudicing" his 2020 federal election interference case.”

TRAITOR tRump has undue influence in Congress AND the media. His inflammatory rhetoric is dangerous to anyone and everyone. And, his constant attacks on our fundamental national institutions is weakening the faith of Americans in their own government.

Which is the foundation of his plan to overthrow The Constitution, our national government and install himself as our dictator. I hope Smith is successful in shutting him up, even a little bit.

"Prosecutors say their proposed order to D.C. District Judge Tanya Chutkan would be "a narrow, well-defined restriction" that would prohibit Trump from making statements "regarding the identity, testimony, or credibility of prospective witnesses" and "statements about any party, witness, attorney, court personnel, or potential jurors that are disparaging and inflammatory, or intimidating."

In other words, Trump is hurting my feelings. Please make him stop and I'll include people that don't make any sense right now so I can pretend I'm not being a crybaby and this is about helping others.

When you bring criminal charges and then tell the judge you don't want the court to give the defendant's attorneys time to read the discovery you're setting yourself up for criticism. If he doesn't want to be called a corrupt prosecutor he should stop acting like a corrupt prosecutor.

“IN OTHER WORDS” TRAITOR tRump is endangering the well being of anyone even remotely associated with the prosecution and unduly influencing his trialS before they even start.

Asserting your innocence and saying other people aren't telling the truth is pretty common. The prosecutor's feelings are clearly hurt. His reputation is taking a hit and it should because he's acting very unethically. How many other defendants has this prosecutor asked the federal court to deny their right to review the discovery before going to trial? Is this normal behavior for him? And why is the judge going along with it? Why did the judge attempt to deny Trump his constitutional right to respond to pretrial motions put forth by the prosecution? Is this the first time the judge has presided over a criminal trial or is this just something they tried to do because Trump is the defendant?

Whether Trump calls them out for their corruption or other people with strong political followings do the end result is the same. There will be strong and harsh criticism for their unethical behavior. They can't stop that while they're behaving like this.

But branding his opponents as enemies, liars and “very bad people” while enlisting his MAGrate sycophants to do harm is NOT at all common or tolerated.

If Jack Smith is concerned for his and his family’s safety I wouldn’t blame him. But I think he’s more concerned about the well being of all those that have stood for OUR Nation and are willing to participate in the prosecution of TRAITOR tRump’s crimes.

Trump has a right to speak out. It's about time for y'all to learn to live with that.

If the corruption wasn't so obvious, then people wouldn't be losing faith in the DOJ.

Smith is mad because HE doesn't have the monopoly on unduly influencing the trial.

OH THE HORROR!! He called them "bad people?!?!?!" That's so mean. Are we even allowed to repeat that on this forum??? I'm so triggered. Please put a warning before repeating these inflammatory words in the future! I agree. The courts should stop Trump from calling someone a "bad person." You've convinced me. I had no idea his free speech was this horrible! We definitely need to silence him. What's next? He calls someone a "meanie?" Put a stop to this before this escalates to words not allowed in pre-school.

If TRAITOR tRump’s crimes weren’t so well documented he and his MAGrate sycophants wouldn’t need to threaten violence.

No one is in danger. Smith claim is no different than yelling fire in a crowded theater; he's creating panic to influence the jury.

His case is falling apart and he knows it. That's why he wants to be publicly criticized.

The prosecutor is acting like a "very bad person" in the course of this trial by seeking to remove a defendant's constitutional rights. I'm sorry to the mods for endangering him. I know I went off the rails here and it won't happen again.

@Noone please forgive me for my potty mouth. I know how much you hate when we call people "bad." I mean, calling people a traitor is perfectly okay. But "bad" is beyond the pale.

That would be hilarious IF, as a nation, we ALL hadn’t seen just what his MAGrate sycophants are capable of on January 6th 2021.

I understand you want to prosecute Trump and/or remove his rights because of the actions of other people. But, that's not how America works. Fascist countries, yes. America, no. You should support the American philosophy, it's a lot better than the fascist philosophy.

Jack Smith. The prosecutor. The judge essentially agreed.

Trump's attorneys asked for a trial start date that would give them time to read the discovery. Jack Smith literally said they don't need to read it and wanted to start the trial on a date that would require them to read 11,000 pages a day. That's just to read it, once, not analyze it. My Google search says the average person can read 40 pages per hour.

    “I” want?

What I want has nothing to do with it. He needs to be tried (in a court of law not, public opinion) for the crimes he’s accused of. And treated like any other defendant.

Defendants don’t get to threaten the prosecution team or any witnesses. <-period

Have you ever read “A Man Without A Country “?

IF it were up to me I’d make him spend the rest of his days at sea out of sight of land NEVER to see MY beloved Country again.
