This is serious stuff: I emailed this video to my friend yesterday. today he replied that he got this message when he tried to view it: That link has nothing to do with any music distributors and or emi. those who made this video want everyone to see it, it's not for profit making. this is government control. unbelievable. please let me know if YOU can view it, or if you get the same message [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Id--ZFtjR5c"]The Revolution Will Not Be Televised - Chavez: Inside the Coup - YouTube[/ame]
Great video! There are two sides to every story. And I suspect that all too often Americans have only been seeing biased coverage of Venezuela in their media. The truth is that Chavez is extremely popular with the masses of poor, who compose a majority of the people in Venezuela. I see a big parallel between what I saw in that video and what is happening in the USA. The societies seem to be dividing into political extremes- based on economic class, ideologies on the role of the government in relation to private property, and not without overlapping racial tones.
Yep. but don't forget this upper class in Venezuela protesting Chavez are not protesting him taking anything away from them, they simply lack the oil funds that now go to the people - in other words no one is robbing this filth, they just lost their welfare
I suppose you could say he's a special interest, in the sense that everyone is a special interest. But he's not hijacking anything, is he? It's really the hijacking that's the problem.
Looks like the greedy money grubbing media moguls of the USA are on the hunt to takeover the internet. Some BS propaganda was on the news the other day about there being more Wireless subscribers than there were homes in the USA. How true this is, is yet to be explaind. Once the greedy monopolies of viacom, clear channel, and the other one gets hold of the government laws regarding the internet, they will make a ton of money off a lot of people. And worst part is free information and access to free information will be in their hands but for a fee. Bastards, To me this is a major concern. I hope technology can find a way to get around it.
The Chavez opposition people, the "upper class" around 23:30 minute mark complain about how "we struggled, and we're not giving up what we have"... my question is, what is anyone even asking them to give up? their welfare? then at 24:10 mark, their expert speaker of the Chavez opposition goes on to say "keep an eye on your domestic servants, many of them may be linked to..." lol
