I'm not a fan of Islam as a whole which, of course, makes me an "Islamophobe" to many of the less capable on the forum. But I'm not a fan because of the way homosexuals and women are mistreated across the Muslim world, so if that means I am an "Islamophobe", then I'm proud be be one.

Needless to say, those wacky Muslims are at it again. This time in Brunei.

Stars boycott Beverly Hills Hotel over Brunei 'sharia'

What is really screwed up with the adultery death sentence is that a girl being raped is often considered to constitute adultery. Perhaps there will be an exception in Brunei, but you never know. It wasn't that long ago that the situation occurred in, I believe Pakistan, where a girl was raped and then sent to prison for committing adultery. Of course, they did offer her the opportunity to avoid prison if she agreed to marry the man who raped her. Perhaps a girl will be able to avoid stoning in Brunei if she marries her rapist.

I imagine the sharia courts will not take any mitigating circumstances into consideration for homosexuals.

Sharia is spreading which is not good news for women and homosexuals in Muslim countries.

How about the idea of stoning people who have consensual sex in general? Or just stoning people in general?

Well I'm sure when the tourist $ from multi millionaire celebrities dries up he'll re think his country's laws because money trumps religion when all is said and done.

I'm certainly not some sort of expert on Sharia law, so I couldn't tell you.

Presumably, Sharia has guidelines as to what punishments are to be used for specific crimes.

Was asking you for your opinion. You seemed upset over an innocent rape victim but made it sound like stoning an actual adulterer was completely acceptable.

Then my choice of words was poor as that is not the message I was attempting to convey.

I absolutely do not believe that stoning is acceptable for adultery. It shouldn't even be considered a crime, let alone a capital offense.

I hope he loses a ton of business. In fact, we don't want his business over here.
