There is a certain element of conservatism that pretends these issues aren't important and makes fun of people like Senator Santorum who thinks they are.

But now, if you live in California, you can no longer ignore the issue. The LGBT want to recruit your children into their perverted lifestyles, and now they have the force of law backing them. The public schools will brainwash children from kindergarten to 12th grade to believe that LGBT is "ok" and perhaps an option they should look into for themselves. Parents aren't notified and have no power to pull their children away from this filth.

I predict a massive exodus of children from public schools into private and parochial schools as parents realize the disgusting things their children are being exposed to.

 

The LGBT community is not a bunch of perverts who are trying to steal your childern.

However, why mention sexuality in a social studies class at all. This is akin to those "evil" Christians trying to impose their morals on innocent young athiests.

 

Yeah, I would prefer that public schools take a neutral stance on the issue of sexuality.

When they make it mandatory to include discussion of it and place it in a positive light, then it's promoting it.....or at least promoting a positive opinion of it. Best just to leave it out of the discussion altogether. In cases where it comes up, or is portrayed in a negative light, it is appropriate to make an exception and discuss it to set things straight (pun not intended). It should not be part of the curriculum by default.

Hmm that is a good idea. No summers off for teachers, and no holidays off. They work all year long, and since there is no money, they don't get any raises either.

 

Let me put it to this way.

If I set up a school in which each kid was required to take one class in the Catholic religion each day, would you consider that to be recruiting kids into Catholicism?

 

I don't understand why we don't have year round school, honestly. Not only would it put this country back on the right track of promoting education, but it would probably have the bonus effect of lower crime and general childhood nuisance. They can still have a month off here and there, but even when I was in school I thought three months was too long of a break.

 

If it were a public school, yes.

As you've described it, you are talking about setting up a private Catholic school. Many of those already exist...

No... there will be less time for: Math, Science, English, and History.

Furthermore, if you child says something derogatory, they are sent to a counselor for additional attention without the parent's consent... it's part of the law.

Now you will see parent putting the death knell in the Public Schools as they pull their children and cost the public schools significant federal dollars. The kids will end up in non-Union failing schools and go to homeschooling or private schooling which is far more successful.

Because its not natural. There is zero evidence of it being genetic and there is direct evidence it isn't natural from a biological standpoint to a sexual standpoint.

NEWS FLASH! Children instinctively know people are different and they see examples of this self evident fact all around them, all the time, every single day of the year!
This is hardly a matter for the California state legislature to take up (despite their allegiance to the vast pervasive LGBTG education lobby).

This is a California problem and as a product of California schools, I can completely attest to the fact that no one taught us that God made the world in seven days. Put the joint down, lefty.

Teachers sign 9, 10 or 11 month contracts depending on what they teach - classroom teachers 9 mo, band directors and coaches 10/11 mo. IF THEY CHOOSE, their salary is paid out over 12 months or they can choose to be paid according to the number of months in their contract. Aside from their classroom work, teachers serve bus duty before and after school, stay long hours for parent-teacher conferences, attend PTA meetings and other night school activities such as fall festivals, etc. and they aren't paid overtime for that. People who work in other professions get holidays off - banks, the post office i.e. get all state holidays which teachers don't get - yet you think they should be working Christmas Day just because they're an evil school teacher?

If a classroom teacher prefers, they're paid on a 9 mo. basis and receive NO SALARY during the summer. Most of the teachers I know DO work during the summers either teaching summer school, waiting tables or other part time work.

I really don't understand this hatred and contempt for school teachers.
