A world that doesn't have an evacuation plan and has the kind of population we have couldn't possibly be looked upon as all that intelligent. We need to spread our seed upon the moon and work out from there. Self preservation is a trait of the intelligent. As humans, we suck at it. And as the leading nation of our world, we lack long term goals. Evidence of this can be found in our 17T deficit. If an intelligent species were to view how we PLAN to bury our young under impossible debt, they would think it a sign of stupidity and move on to let us die on our own.

 

You are in no position to make that determination. What of quantum entanglement? The precise and instant replication of data unbound by the laws of space-time? Quantum computers too, could theoretically process and replicate certain types of information much faster than sending radio signals.

What you are saying here simply does not hold up to scrutiny.

 

I agree with what you're saying here, buddy. We have become slaves to our own system. It is the leaders of the system who have gradually done this to us, but I do not blame them. We are all actors now, performing our roles for the pleasure of the thing we have built.

 

I think the idea is that SETI is only looking at a sub-set of possible communications. The ones that are primitive 20th century technology.

We can't detect the quantum communications stuff, as far as I know.

 

We have our faults that would turn many off no doubt, but if the Universe is so chuck full of life not all of them would think the same, not all would ignore such a beautiful planet.

 

If you read the posts I made before the one you quoted it should become clear to you that I know this, and it was in fact the reason I used the example of quantum entanglement in the first place. It is a potential direction for future communication to take which does not involve the use of radio waves.

 

Hey, I'd at least take a few pictures as I passed by if I were them. Our world is beautiful. And a quick fly over the grand canyon would be worth the effort. And if they stopped to talk to people who didn't vote for our president, they might find something more tangible. (I always have to throw that in there.)

Flounder, you do pull from the better side of things while I trot out the dirt. But you are right, we have something to offer. Something very good. I just wish, as a species, we found a better way to leave our children with a better place than we have now. I don't want them to look back at us in the coming decades and wonder why we cared so little for their well being. I don't want them to feel like we had a grand party at their expense. And I sure hope they do not use our actions as an example of how they should treat their own young.

I finished my first draft of a novel dealing with the people of earth having the chance to migrate to one of two planets, one based in capitalism, or one based in socialism. I think you might like it.

As far as feeling bad about what we leave our children , just think of our parents, are you angry with them? Course not, nobody deliberately wants to destroy our planet,,balance my friend, moderation. Also as we develop, newer and better ideas will surface to regenerate and preserve our beloved planet.
Even the greediest of the greediest knows if you spoil the Bath water,,,,no bath. The ideas and funds will come from those that have a true incentive to do so, the successful,,,always has. Even with further exploration of the Universe it will eventually come from them, there are rich's beyond belief just waiting to be picked up practically from the surface of some asteroids...

Our children will do just fine as long as their freedom is allowed to flourish, and not be substituted for Brand X. You want to see Greed?, selfishness?, Control, no matter what the price? Look no further than a huge green Lawn and a big White House.

There is a great deal of testimony given about encountering Alien Races......but if anyone actually goes to say...ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN...etc....and tells them they have an actual piece of Alien Technology.....in EVERY SINGLE TV NETWORK, RADIO, NEWSPAPER OR MAGAZINE AND INTERNET NEWS OUTLET.....there are specific agency operatives planted at various levels.

Failure to do so will result in possible charges being filed against specific people in the company....under such categories as TRAITOR, SEDITION, MANSLAUGHTER....etc.

As to date there has been over 900 planned Media Specials where supposed PHYSICAL ALIEN TECHNOLOGY was to be shown and demonstrated.

Only 17 of these planned Media Specials have occurred and of those 17 only 4.....which were TV specific actually showed supposed Alien Material all 4 being a piece of non-uniform metal piece that was claimed to be an Alien Tracking device that had an unusual amount of Human Nerves that appeared to have grown and connected to it.

Tests done upon the removed supposed Tracking Devices....which had been sending out a Dual Radio Signal prior to a Surgeon cutting them out of the Arms, Legs and Buttocks of those implanted....as the moment they were removed from the Human Body they stopped broadcasting....all proved unremarkable as these supposed tracking devices were comprised of Elements readily found on Earth.

Since there are the same elements available throughout our Universe with the possible exceptions of some unknown Isotopes....it is not unusual that the materials these supposed tracking devices were made of could be found on Earth.

Any real proof is suppressed well before it becoming public knowledge and if the closest thing you will EVER get to real proof is listening to NASA Astronaut testimony such as Buzz Aldrin, Gordon Cooper, George Mitchell, Story Musgrave and many others.

All of these NASA ASTRONAUTS are AMERICAN HERO'S and they are breaking their NONDISCLOSURE AGREEMENTS because they are old and figure if something was to happen to them it would make their statements about contact with Alien Races all the more prominent a story in todays Mass Media.

SETI looking for an E.T. Signal with the equipment they have is like looking for a Needle in a Haystack the size of Jupiter.....and the NEEDLE being 1/1000th the size on an ordinary needle.

AS I have posted before....any advanced Alien Race capable of Interstellar Travel which means Folding Space-Time which also means understanding the UFT....Unified Field Theory....which means if you understand the UFT....you can change Energy into Matter and Matter into Energy.

If you can do that and have the capability to generate a Matter/Antimatter Multiversal Cascade Reaction and Energy Generation you have all the energy you need to create ALL THE MATTER YOU NEED.

So if you need say...WATER.....you use the Energy created form a Matter/Antimatter Multiversal Cascade Reaction and you can create OCEANS OF WATER.....or with the help of advanced Quantum Computers you can use the Energy to create any Food, Machine, Object or anything else you would require.

So...long explanation short.....if you can travel from one star system to another.....you don't need ANYTHING WE HAVE .....as you can create it.

Now it was known decades ago that this allowed the NSA to monitor and record EVERY SINGLE BIT OF ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION UPON PLANET EARTH.

What has replaced ECHELON is like replacing a Horse with a DODGE VIPER.

None of this was ever secret and our Allies certainly knew we were keeping an eye on them.

It is curious they picked this time to make such a fuss.
