So driving after smoking marijuana is actually safer than smoking tobacco while driving...hmmmm. Methinks some people may have an agenda that has nothing to do with driver safety? Just a shot in the dark...

That's why we need a law that also lets cops "soften up" anyone who refuses a DUI test. I don't believe in coddling killers.

You're better than an atomic clock. I just set my watch. Thanks. Now read the Constitution, "conservative."

I can't believe i wasted 5 minutes of my life reading this rather stupid thread. The fact is simple, people may they be conservative or liberal like to control the lives of others, it is basic human nature. People will use any excuse they can dream up to control their brethen, sad but true state of the average human being.

Not driving at all makes it INFINITELY LESS likely to be involved in an auto collision than ANY kind of driving - so let's outlaw driving automobiles. This message brought to you by fine folks at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Stop being ridiculous. Nobody wants to get rid of cars. The problem is crazy drivers speeding and DUIing and phone-driving etc.

It's the indian not the arrow.

I agree completely. 100% of car accidents involve people driving cars. You can't beat that statistic.

Nothing more than the ones that drink and drive to 7-11, or abuse prescription medicine and drive to 7-11, those items are legal.

Now maybe you can provide numbers on who drives between the three.

No need to ban driving. Just give out stiff penalties for moving violations. First time DUI should be a felony with a minimum license suspension of 2 years. That would cut drunk driving in half and wouldn't cost a penny.

Of course it would increase the likelihood of an accident...

if it were legal, then driving under the influence of marijuana would have to be prohibited, just like alcohol...

Is this supposed to be some sort of ground breaking news or something?

Yes, there is a need to ban driving. Automobile drivers=killers. There is no denying that obvious logic. Cops should be given liberty to kneecap any of these murderers on sight.

Actually it would cost quite a bit. Texas increased penalties for drunk driving once Perry was in the Governor's mansion. Guess what happened. Drunk driving arrests didn't go down but drunk driving convictions dropped. Once the penalties get too stiff more people fight the charge and win. There is this little pesky think "conservatives" always forget about called the Constitution. I love it. It constantly wrecks their plans for establishing an autocratic theocracy.
