Just use common sense. The first cases appeared within walking distance of a virology lab known to be doing gain of function research for the CCP and, oddly, the U.S.. How do we know? We have been funding it surreptitiously and even had an American virologist working in that lab at one time. Now understand that those first people who were infected disappeared and the Chinese government clammed up solidly. Did they want to know the source of the virus? They already did.

We know that the nearest natural habitat of the bat that is blamed by the NIH and WHO as the source of the infection is 600 miles away so somebody imported and maintained bats. A virology lab perhaps. We have seen Dr's Fauci and Collins immediately pooh pooh the idea of a lab leak when it is the most believable source of the virus. If the government doesn't know where the virus originated then Fauci and Collins didn't either. They were just protecting something that would hurt them if made public. Otherwise they would have acknowledged the possibility of the most logical source that they were funding through a third party.

Common sense says that the lab was weaponizing a bat virus for the Chinese and (probably) also the U.S. military. Somehow some people were infected with the virus whether from a leak or an event within the lab. The virus spread like wildfire (gain of function) and infected the planet. It wasn't in its final stages of becoming a biological weapon because it wasn't all that deadly as a percentage of infections. It was somewhere along the way to completion. One wonders what kinds of strides the lab has accomplished since the original outbreak.

Why did NIH fund the research through a third party? Could it be because they didn't want to let America know that they were making biological weapons in a Chinese lab? Why did Fauci and Collins cling so tightly to the "wet market" theory? Because they knew they shouldn't be developing bio weapons in a Chinese lab? Could it be worse? Could Fauci and Collins have taken money from the CCP? We don't have the answers. The conspiracy theory you just read is my opinion and is based on nothing but common sense. But I'm sticking to it until we get some rational facts.

oh, yes, popscott as architect of the wuhan lab and chief micro virologist in the gain of function lab i could tell you every intimate detail of the lab's construction and functioning, but then i'd have to kill you. what in god's name makes you think i, or the article, could answer this question about what must be a chinese state secret?

Then why does the article not address the possibility of the The Wuhan Institute of Virology being the source.. but does only address the possibility of the wet market? There are bats in both locations. ... Remember " they lacked direct evidence of an intermediate animal infected with a SARS-CoV-2 progenitor virus either at the Huanan market or at a location connected to its supply chain, such as a farm." But silly ole me thinking maybe looking inside the lab itself would turn up an "intermediate animal infected with a SARS-CoV-2".. it does not take much "smarts" to come up with that one.
