". . . This is why the very term systemic racism is so awkward and unhelpful. All discrepancies between blacks and whites are not due to “racism” – or, the racism involved was so far in the past that battling “racism” now would be impossible. The word racism hits our brain centers where we process the personal, the offense – we bristle. The term systemic racism cannot help but fire up the same bundles of neurons – we think the society is “a racist” deserving the same treatment as the racist person. Not if we think about it consciously, of course – but so much of being human is subconscious. When someone stands before us and intones about “systemic racism” we think on a certain level of “a racist,” bigotry.

The Elect aren’t doing that on purpose, but apprised of it, think “Well, good!” But no – we have seen here how approaching a black problem as “racism” leads us to treat black kids as morons. . . . "

Your quote of the author "digression is irrelevant". He was referring to "all discrepancies between blacks and whites are not due to “racism” – or, the racism involved was so far in the past that battling “racism” now would be impossible." I am referring to a discrepancy that is racially motivated that is happening now and puts blacks at a disadvantage...not the same thing.

Again, his example is a change in culture that happened because of past systemic racism. There is no active racism but the cultural problem persists. You just seem to like the idea of his title and that is as deep as you go.

No. I just don't like the spectacle of damaging people via their alleged advocates' use of a term that harms them.

So you don't think African Americans should use that term when they see a broad pattern of negative treatment by an institution because that would harm them?

". . . Our racial “reckoning” could use a reckoning about the term systemic racism. It is often used with an implication, a resonance, a tacit assumption, that to question is unthinkable. Uttered by a certain kind of person, often with a hint of emphasis or an eyeroll, we are to assume that the argumentation behind it has been long accomplished; the heavy lifting was taken care of long ago and we can now just decide what we’re going to do about this “racism” so clearly in our faces.

The problem is that this heavy lifting has not occurred. This usage of systemic racism is more rhetorical bludgeon than a simple term of reference. For all of the pungent redolence of the word racism in general when uttered by a certain kind of person, complete with the inherent threat to whites that they are racists to have anything to say but Amen, we must learn to listen past this theatrical aspect of the word and think for ourselves. . . . Racism(Whites over Blacks)will always be the fore front, nothing you can legislate can change that fact...not even a war that killed 650,000 Americans changed that fact...instead it welded together, to create another world of pecking order, because whites are know to be the top of the pecking order...Afrika is a millions of yrs old, and the same system still runs the Continent, and America was settled by European Whites a mere 300 yras ago and it surpassed all the World to be able to put a Man on The Moon! Only constructors could accomplish that fete...Afrika is not a builder continent, because of the low pecking order...The United States is on a mission to kill itself by "Trojan Horse" theory.....Rise and Fall of the Greatest Nation ever...all because of "Barabas" theory..and the fact that American White women are now in charge of this Nation with their vote....They elected an old foolish politician that cant wipe his brow without falling up the steps....and forbid the fact if he is replaced by the "Laughing Hyena"in the most powerful position in the world(as of now)....Realize,there will always be status, and the white race is the tallest in the world...when you mix race, you do not breed out ignorance, you just stimulate it...George Washington Carver was a pure black man, and one of the brightest in the world. Barack Obama was mixed and not anywhere close to being a Carver.. Being Black is a plus..being mixed is just like any other living thing, nothing special..

Another "race realist". That justifies racism, right? It's "scientific", you don't have to feel guilty about being a racist.

...."Some of my best friends are BLACK"....that make you happy?....you are a racist?.....what is a racist?.....the post was about reverse racism ,by people that have been exposed to racism...do you understand? Black is not white no matter what you say....brown is not better than white...My Afrikan comment you ignored...because it is fact....you ignore many facts...because it is ignorable....2000 yrs does not make a national venue like 300 yrs under the supervision of builders..reach into your heart of hearts and ask yourself, why you should thank your elders for coming to America, even being a person of bondage was better than what they left..

Is the fact that Edna does not know how to apply an Avatar part of systemic racism? After over 2100 messages you have not figured this out yet?

I'm sure you can find some black power-hate whitey avatar that fits your views.

    Rolltide!

Is Lori Lightfoot a racist? You are good at calling others racists so I'm appealing to your expertise.

The issue at hand is very simple to me. Too many blacks think that they only way to progress is at the detriment and expense of whites. As David Horowitz said 20 years ago hating whitey is progressive today.

None of these libocrats, I call them libotards have any solutions other than to blame and hate. Black criminals like Jacob Blake and George Floyd are lionized as heroes. Never is there a call to respect life or for men to be responsible for their own children.

According to Edna and the black and white libos I'm more responsible for the poverty of a black child in Detroit than the biological father of that child. That is idiocy!

    Not even close to you.
What is being called out is white racism. That hardly extends to all whites because most are not the problem. You can't include yourself in the "most".
You bring up a good question. How do we judge who is better off? It's not accumulated wealth. Studies have shown that after a certain point, when subjective needs are met, more wealth doesn't add to happiness. Those needs could be satisfaction with your retirement account or enough to eat for the day to a hunter gatherer. Of course a lot of other things go into happiness but the point is the "better off" are the happiest and that is not someone in "bondage".

Should I accuse Edna of subliminal racism? She did not need to say or do anything racist.

Such is the state of libotard nation today. Accuse people of being racist for saying or doing nothing racist and change global warming to climate change so any unusual weather can be called a crisis.

The solutions always involve losing even more of your freedoms.

Systemic racism need not be institutional though. Nobody needs to intend racism for systemic racism to exist. Institutional racism means it is created and enforced by an institution.

Deliberately lying about it to smear a nation like the following isn't helpful.

THE DEMAND FOR RACISM IN AMERICA FAR EXCEEDS THE SUPPLY:
