Give us your picks, score, favorite Super Bowl memories/games: I've got the Broncos winning 31-21. Favorite Super Bowl memory is Chris Rees of New Orleans recovering the onside kick to start the second half against the Colts......totally changed the momentum of that game. Rees played HS football at one of our local schools.
I've got Seattle. With the way they were picking balls last game they should have plenty of opportunity to turn the game as long as their O can do it.
I'm with Seattle as well. The way that thug picked the ball out of the air in the last play of the game a couple of weeks ago, Peyton Manning isn't going to stand a whore's score's chance in a nun convent today!
I've got excellent numbers in my pool, too. 3-0, 6-3, 7-0, 7-4. I've got other numbers but those are the best.
The Super Bowl is not a 'current event'...........coulda fooled me.......that's about the only thing people are talking about this weekend
Yeah, just wait until the surprise gay weddings during the halftime show today, and watch this forum explode.
It is, but it's not political. This is the "Current Events" section for the "General Political Chat" area of the forum. Not that I care but still. Anyway the key is to find out where the mob put its money. - - - Updated - - - Then it will turn political, even though IMO there's nothing political about weddings, well other than some states not recognizing some weddings.
Go Flames!!! ...wait...wrong everything. Anyway, here is my favorite football anything.
There are plenty of political issues surrounding this Super Bowl. The unofficial name for it is the "Pot Bowl" or "Weed Bowl" due to the fact that both teams come from the only two states that have legalized recreational marijuana, which is a very political current event. There is the "thug" joke that I made earlier, which was a 100+ page topic in this forum last week. etc.
Not to mention that Bruno Mars is probably gay and will be performing at halftime..........and the fact that there's a horse organization protesting that the Denver mascot is offensive to horses.....
I don't care who wins. My only attraction to the game is that I'm in a $20 pool. I have the Broncos with "1" and the Seahawks with "6". I dislike Pete Carroll with a passion, but I've been a fan of Marshawn Lynch since his days as our RB at the California Golden Bears. I don't care much for Denver, but I was born there and I have always respected Manning. So, give me a Broncos "1" and Seahwaks "6" score during a quarter so I can take down a $500 bill. After that, give Manning the ring and Lynch a 100 yard game. The best of all worlds.
I would like Seattle to win. Actually I don't like either one, but I favor Seattle because Denver fires players because of their religion (Tim Tebow). Anyway, Denver is going to win.
I'm a NY Jet fan so i don't care for either team but I'm going to say Denver routes Seattle. Shall we say a final score of 42-24? Long live the 420 Bowl!!
Denver fires players because they suck. And, as you may have noticed, this opinion of Tebow is not solely held in Denver. The guy seemed super nice, but couldn't make it as a professional QB. I agree that Denver is going to win, though. The great simulation model known as EA's Madden series has them winning, and has an 80% accuracy. However, of the 4 times that the #1 offense has met the #1 defense in the big game, the defense has won 75% of the time. If it wasn't for that stat, I'd be more than 60% confident in the Broncos winning. Favorite Super Bowl moment: betting my parents $10, and a month break from lawn mowing the next summer, that Denver would lose to the 49ers in 1990.
Broncos 27 Seattle 17 The Broncos let Tebow go because he is not an effective NFL QB. Take your politics elsewhere, this is about football.
