It's not about legal vs illegal, it's about citizen vs non-citizen. We have millions of legal immigrants and they also shouldn't count for representatives.

That pretty much eliminates the citizen question. Trump hasn’t clarified anything his entire time in office.

Simply delay the Census until this is resolved. We all know it is constitutional. Just a matter of time.

    Yes!
It is not the job of the SCOTUS to decide if they "like" what the other two branches do or if they approve. Their one job is to decide was it constitutional.

How so? Quit posting things with no factual support and acting as though you've made some valid observation.

    The GOP.

Dixiecrats became Republicans decades ago. It was even in the news!

The date is codified in law.

"(a) The Secretary shall, in the year 1980 and every 10 years thereafter, take a decennial census of population as of the first day of April of such year, which date shall be known as the “decennial census date”, in such form and content as he may determine, including the use of sampling procedures and special surveys. In connection with any such census, the Secretary is authorized to obtain such other census information as necessary."
And if also says the secretary an ask questions WITHOUT SCOTUS APPROVAL.

What fallacious nonsense, the Dixiecrats went right back into the open and welcome arms of the Democrats where they had always found their home and were all reelected as Democrats and held high positions in the Democrats party. Biden praised his Democrat Dixiecrats just the other day.

Democrat Nazi's and KKK members who fought against freeing slaves and organized to break apart the United States. The new resistance, like ANTIFA, is an offshoot of these old Democrats and "resistance" fighters. Nothing has changed.

This is a great read and clears up the lies and revisionism that many use about Dixiecrats. Dixiecrats were Democrats (then and now) against Civil Rights for all Americans. They were hardcore racist Democrats and KKK members.

During the Philadelphia nominating convention of the Democrat Party in 1948, a number of disgruntled southern segregationist Democrats stormed out in protest. They were upset about planks in the new platform that supported Civil Rights.

Not since after segregation ended and the Dems lost their battles against civil rights.

Because of a federal judge overstepping his bounds and a weak John Roberts.

If there's a reason in the record, a court won't question it; but that wasn't the case here.

    https://www.politico.com/magazine/s...out-the-trump-administration-for-lying-227244

One problem with that argument, though, is that the Supreme Court has previously held that where there is a strong indication of bad-faith government action, a court can look deeper. And today, a majority composed of Chief Justice Roberts and the four more liberal justices called shenanigans. Quoting the legendary judge Henry Friendly, for whom Roberts once clerked, the chief justice wrote that the Supreme Court is “not required to exhibit a naivete from which ordinary citizens are free.” In other words, if everyone can see that the administration is lying, the court isn’t required to pretend that it alone is blind.

I think a good way to reduce illegal immigration would be to make military service a pre-condition to your entry in the country. Make it a 3 years contract and you can only apply for citizenship if you complete that contract with satisfactory marks. 3 years of getting screamed at by a sergeant and doing hard PT all day may discourage a lot of thost 17-30 years old.

No need for weapons training, just make them do the PT every day for 3 years. This will weed out the less enthousiast characters.

That's not a completely ridiculous idea... although considering that "military service" without weapons training sounds more like a really hard weight-loss clinic...

You realize that most of people desiring to get into this country would probably still jump at something like that idea to escape the cesspools that are their current countries...

Some would, but many, those who are coming to leech from the social services wouldn't.
Many believe they'll get taken cared off, free education, healthcare, food stamps.

By metrics alone, the country they are migrating from aren't even that bad economically. They're in the same ranking as Brasil. But those country don't invest any money in social programs. They are getting rid of the problem of taking care of the poor by sending them to the USA. They have the mean to take care of them, they just don't want to.

There are poor afraid people in every country.... you cannot use metrics to measure individual suffering...

I believe the people coming here just for free stuff is a LOT less than conservatives believe... It's some, but certainly not most...

Do you want to take care of ALL the poor afraid people in the world?
How about those countries, who as I said previously, have the economical means to introduce social programs but REFUSE to do so, start to take care of their own instead of encouraging them to migrate? You have finite ressources and you already have millions of poor citizen in your own country that you can't even take care off, why are you so eager to import more?

I'm not eager to import anybody.... It's always happened and it always will... It's only been a huge problem since Trump further ****ed up the already ****ed up immigration policy in this country.
