It's the guns again, but I just heard that a gun law was just upheld as constitutional in Oregon, so there might be hope yet. Judge upholds stringent Oregon gun control law as constitutional | The Hill
nonsense-guns aren't in the news-the suspect who has not been caught is. There is no information where he got the gun. It appears this is another effort by you to smear gun ownership without having any valid factual reason to do so
flies in the face of controlling supreme court authority. almost guaranteed to be overturned at some point
"an area that features lake-front homes and a nearby baptist [sic] church." why does it use "[sic]" there?
Hi, FreshAir. 'baptist' should have been capitalized, thus: 'Baptist'. I added the [sic] to note that it was an exact, though erroneous, copy of the lede. Ref.: English Grammar 101 - Capitalization, Lesson 4: Names of Groups of People Regards, stay safe 'n well.
In a country with an estimated 400 million guns in the hands of private citizens, I wonder if anyone would like to do the math to estimate the percent of guns that are misused on an annual basis? You're going to need a decimal followed by lots of digits to the right of that decimal. People also misuse vehicles as weapons but I don't see anyone wanting to take people's vehicles away from them. But of course they only want to remove someone's rights when it doesn't affect them
That law wouldn't have prevented this crime. But, of course, everyone knows that and that isn't the reason for gun bans.
you're a smart guy--do you honestly believe crime control is what actually motivates these posters who want to ban guns or who constantly broadcast criminal actions with firearms and pretend it is commonplace among legal gun owners?
Innocent people are murdered by a person with a gun. We need to pass gun laws to restrict people from having a gun. Innocent people are murdered by a person with a gun. We need a law against murdering innocent people. Oh wait . . .
We don't know who can be truste and who not. It has gotten to the point where you can't trust anyone anymore. I hope they catch the killer soon. If and when they do, it would be best thet he pleads guilty by all means.
