They left Germany because the Nazis were elected. And originally you were arguing that they were refugees, which is what I was disputing. Her Father didnt "flee" Germany as a refugee, leaving behind his wife and kids in Germany. Her mother didnt flee Germany as a refugee to join her husband, leaving behind her daughter Anne in Germany. And when they both traveled back to Germany for a visit, then leave again for the Netherlands, they were not again fleeing as refugees.

Not as refugees. Her father didnt flee Germany leaving behind his wife and children. Her mother didnt flee Germany to the Netherlands, and then travel back and forth freely between Germany and the Netherlands as a refugee.
