I'm no expert on foreign policy issues but I believe something is definitely going on here. It seems like there's a little "game" being played between the United States, Russia, Israel and our other partners in the Middle East. I believe Russia is pretending to side with the Syrians but they're actually on our side. The only reason why they're supplying them with an advanced air defense system is so that we have a better excuse to put boots on the ground. It also gives Assad a good reason to tell us to get lost when his representatives attend the meeting next month in Geneva. Within the next few months I believe we're going to find a good reason to go into Syria. The Iranians will "try" to intervene giving us an excuse to start a war with Iran. A full-scale war with Iran will not be so simple because we don't have the support of the people. This is an awful situation but it's going to happen. I guess the Iranians are pretty close to coming up with a nuclear weapon.
The LAST thing this government wants is boots on the ground. That is why (*)(*)(*)(*) is so (*)(*)(*)(*)ed up now. Chems have been used. That would NORMALLY be a trigger for international action. Nobody wants to go in there. So we are doing what we keep doing that keeps biting us in the ass. We have every international law behind us, going in after chems. I believe everyone remembers Iraq. Obama does NOT want to play Iraq in Syria. The Russian thing... is a very long old and dirty relationship.
