The child porno users are tracked and determine if it’s stored on their computer. Likewise, terrorist web sites and bomb making are monitored and used to determine no fly lists. Neither is necessarily a crime but both are used to determine further investigation. That’s the Same protocol they want to use for other activity in question.

We are talking about internet monitoring. The internet is a world wide communication median. What is or is not a crime in the US is not material when the source is a website elsewhere where the activity may not be a crime, by the same definition we use. What is material is the criminal behavior conducted by US citizens on websites elsewhere who down load material that is considered criminal behavior by a US citizen.

You’re also wrong that bomb making is illegal. Unregulated bomb making is illegal here and sites abroad that illustrate techniques should be subject to scrutiny by participants world wide to protect everyone, worldwide, as should terrorist activity. Terrorist activity is not subject first amendment rights here as we already monitor it for world wide cooperation for watchlists and tracking suspects. We have prevented many attacks already and hate crimes are part of the activity.

 

I was presuming we both live in the US and were discussing laws that pertain to those in the US... do you live elsewhere?
