Will they actually open their borders that were closed to the entire world?

The problem is not that they're "not properly trained to use it", but that they have been trained to use all this military equipment in a military setting, as if it was a war they are involved in.

True, they have more than enough material for war and they need to use it for such. I'm more concerned there are cases where there isn't enough training for the job. We look at SWAT training for instance many police departments don't have enough training.

    Where are the tanks?

That said I do think state and local law enforcements have too much military grade hardware.

The mere fact that these radical morons can march on their State House with loaded automatic weapons strung around their necks shows EXACTLY how far down the BANANA REPUBLIC road we have sunk in recent years. Law and order is a thing of the past in the good old USA!!!

Is that why Tesla is leaving Commiefornia for Texas? I'd be protesting with them, but I'm still working 50 hours per week.

more like when Northern state of Delaware kept slaves even after Lincoln declared the Emancipation Proclamation.
More like Lincoln changing reason for waging war from “ to preserve the Union” to “ending slavery”, while still allowing his no.1 General Grant to retain his personal servant slave and Lincoln suspending the US Constitution and allowing no.2 General Sherman to commit war crimes in southern states

Or, maybe the virus is real and the threat is tiny indeed.

Texans wear their gun belts tied to the leg just above the knee to breakfast in restaurants. I've seen it. It's no big deal at all. I approve of it and I feel safer when so many guns are present.

I am from the Deep South and consider Sherman to be among the greatest generals ever to have lived. He had no fear of winning, and he did win. That is the only thing that counts. The whole idea is to kill the enemy and break all of his stuff without mercy.

It all bothered Lincoln, but he was just a president, not a military man. He had marched off to the Black Hawk War in Wisconsin, but didn't see any combat, although imo he would have done well if he had.

Do you believe companies leaving the US for places like China and India because they are better? Or is it because they have a cheap workforce with few health and safety standards?

That has nothing to do with leaving California for Texas. The cost of living is lower in Texas and we are a right to work state, but both places are America. There is no slave labor going on here. California needs to be more competitive and more responsible with their resources. California is finding that tax and spend doesn't work when businesses leave.

You missed the point I was making which was cost — cost is the reason they are opening a plant — not the well being of the citizens of Texas.

    Who mentioned slave labor?

You don't get the amount of international travel that we do. We had planes full of infected people coming to our West Coast from China and our East Coast from Europe in January and February while China and the WHO lied about the virus.

Then our leftist governors sent infected people to live with our elderly in nursing homes. Bad decision.

I assumed that in working in China or some other place where people have no rights.

I see overinflation happening in high tax states. California is taxing themselves out of the labor market. Their workers can't afford to live in California because of high taxation and the resulting cost of living. They have become dependent on cheap labor from Mexico.
