5 dead police officers. 6 wounded. One would reasonably think that if the cop hate and the portrayal of the police as a bunch of dirty, corrupt racist murderers were true, that they would have responded to these shooters with intent to kill. Yet 3 suspects are in custody and a fourth dead from self inflicted gunshot despite multiple chances to surrender. That is amazing restraint and appears to showcase exactly what the police are really all about and flies in the face of everything liberals have been castigating them for which has given rise to the worst race relations in 50 years. The fact that they died in the act of protecting the peaceful assembly of a predominantly black protest further adds to my point. So thank you Dallas police. And to the fallen, rest in peace. Your honor and service is intact and your sacrifice will be avenged.
My god. What a horrific event. The perpetrators need to be caught and punished to the full extent of the law.
Well said Tipper. I'm afraid Obama has tapped into the deepest anger of blacks in an effort to get elected twice, yet did nothing to improve their situation. That's not to say some of their anger isn't justified, it just doesn't solve any problems to turn to violence. I would have thought the Freddy Gray debacle would have shown many not to prejudge before the facts are known. Steve
All the same, these eight years have been horrible and there's no telling what the next four are going to be.
If this going to be another bash Obama or bash police threads it will get shut down as the others were last night. If we cannot discuss these horrid events and understand and accept that AL LIVES MATTER then we as a country will never get over this. Let,s face guys these murderers obviously used the last two police shooting events as an excuse to murder police. These muderers have no more right to behave like flesh eating bacteria than the last police events had conducting themselves as they did. Horrible behavior allegedly is no excuse for revenge murder of police. So what do we gave here more accusations and hatred being spilled out like putrid fecal matter in a sewage treatment plant. You want to spew hatred as is your 1 rest amendment right go ahead put stick your head in your toilet and talk with the bacteria there because that is your equivalent match to your hatred.
Here we have 5 five 5 police officers dead and the first reaction from some of the members here is to bash people based on political hatred.
I am sad that your title of the OP is thanks for the police but you launch in to a fecal storm of accusatory filth. People can can and if it turns out as it looks right now that the officers in LA and MN did not behave as they should have then they Ned to be criticized and punished fir their bahavior and not all police. You on the other hand should not be spitting fecal matter on all people who are critical of these the LA and MN cases and accuse them of crapping on all police. Those who crap on all police are as wrong in sentiment as you are in painting all who are critical of those two cases.
These POLICE OFFICERS died in a hail of irony protecting people who were protesting POLICE OFFICERS. I wonder if those protesting the police will gain a new perspective from this?
I actually saw an interview with a father son team of protestors and the father did say that he came here to demonstrate because of the police shootings but he did mention that the police were there protecting the demonstrating. My only negative was that the father demonstrator should have been much more stronger in his mention of police providing protection to demonstrators.
RIP to the heroes who die last night, a quick recovery to the cops injured, and a thank you to all those who wear a badge and uniform.
Actually this thread should be about ALL the people that have died from these senseless shootings, regardless of their race or profession. There is certainly no glory in any of this for ANYONE involved. I wonder what these forums would be like if all you intelligent folks here would start trying to solve problems instead of looking for someone to blame them on.
I believe States' rights should apply and it should be kept within the State. Why did this happen in Texas.
Actually my post is quite measured and level headed in tone, and while I do bring up liberals and their demonization of police it is with specific intent to compare how those police in Dallas acted to how they are represented. That is a legitimate topic for political discussion. Anyone who characterizes the op as a rant of any kind is mischaracterizing it. Yes I can be more specific in terms of who exactly is doing the demonization of police if it'll make you feel better but let's not pretend that the characterization of them as I laid out isn't happening.
Oh and btw for those disapproving that I mentioned politics at all. Please feel free to make an apolitical thread if you haven't already. my response to it will be apolitical as well. Nothing wrong in any of that and if it'll provide a place whereby liberals can express their condolences without feeling alienated from the start I'm all for it.
YOU are the leader. Everything you think, say and do effects everyone around you. Now take a good look at the world and tell me how youre doing. We are all responsible for these tragedies.
