Despite the requests from the top general at the Army, the congress is continuing to urge those general to get on board with their plans to continue to pump out tanks. Never mind the parking lots filled with them collecting dust, never mind the generals agreeing that they have more than enough to meet our national defense needs the congress continues to want to pump out new and very expensive equipment and no one should be surprised that it has bipartisan support. That's right, the congress is trying to prop up the economy via military spending, wasting time and real resources on goods and services we don't need, it's the very Keynesian spending that so many of you whine about so often. It's corporate welfare, plain and simple. Source: http://security.blogs.cnn.com/2012/10/09/army-to-congress-thanks-but-no-tanks/?hpt=hp_c1
