WASHINGTON (AP) — US household income finally matches 1999 peak, while poverty rate hits lowest point since 2001.

All it took to accomplish this feat was electing a Republican billionaire who was married to a supermodel. And bonus: We get to do it again real soon now!

Well, hopefully he can save the House from more democrats who crashed the economy last time. Since the POTUS has nothing to do with how well the economy does, it all happens in the house then senate. The last collapse happened with dems in charge of the congress pushing for more high risk housing loans. This time they are pushing the college loans.

Now sure how you came to that conclusion, but the government does not create growth; they only hinder it. Trump is less of a hindrance than Obama. Spending less would mean giving up some power. Neither side seems interested in that.

If Democrats keep wishing for a recession, it may just happen. But if it results in Trump losing, the Dems will reap the whirlwind.

This comes as no surprise that folks like the above continue to cheerlead for economic slow downs because they feel that it helps their political prospects. It's unconscieable, but there it is, in black and white. Turns out that all this economic doom saying is reflective of their almost universal misunderstanding of how economic dynamics work, how cycles work, and how government does almost nothing but hinder those forces. So, once again, you get this kind of word soup that it intellectually lazy, ineffectual and frankly disgusting to read.

Ask Ford Motor co why Moody's devalued them to junk status. It isn't because Ford doesn't make things that people buy, it's because the cost of producing the things in a way required by government has made them almost entirely unprofitable. And then progressive folks run away from the obvious and whine about extraneous stuff in hopes that no one will notice just how entirely they F'ed up the economy with their version of regulatory invasiveness.

Yeap all you have to do is look who posted it, he/she probably doesn't even know what qualifies as a recession. Great financial news today especially for African Americans wow.

Another thread celebrating Trump's make-believe time machine. The only people crediting Trump are those who can't read a graph or who refuse to consult one. Yet again.

Like all economic indicators Trump takes credit for, he inherited an upward trend. Obama supporters mistake correlation for causation. Trump supporters can't even get the correlation part right.

All hail the Dear Leader's time machine!

The crash was caused by leftists giving loans to people who couldn't pay them back.

Government cannot be credited for growth. Its only a matter of how much they hinder growth. Trump may not deserve credit, but he is less of a hindrance. Voters don't give a crap about graphs; they only care about how they live.

Thanks for agreeing that the credit given to Trump is complete nonsense.

Giving credit to any politician is complete nonsense. Trump is slightly less of a hindrance than Obama.

And yet, that's how people select their leaders: giving credit and blame to whoever is in the hot seat. Since that's how it's always been, Trump gets the credit (because you know he'd have gotten all the blame if things had gone otherwise!).

Unless you count his trade wars. But glad you agree overall that the people crediting Trump have no idea what they are talking about.

You are sitting here appealing to admitted fallacies to argue your point. On the one hand, I'm glad you realize that your point is complete nonsense. On the other hand . . . how the hell can you make the argument when you realize your argument is nonsense?
