Some within the Secret Service are speaking up about exposure to the POTUS.

    Excerpt...
I was sincerely hoping that POTUS would start taking this seriously after his and FLOTUS' diagnoses, but it appears that he hasn't. I understand why people are upset that he went out yesterday. It's selfish and irresponsible.

Is it true that the agents now have to quarantine for 2 weeks? Does that apply to all medial personnel that come into contact with a covid patient? I wonder if the president was aware of this before his ride?

The president, ANY president, should not have the authority to put his staff in danger, unnecessarily. It is madness he has that power. It disgusts me, frankly.

They already signed up to take a bullet from a wannabe assassin. Did they agree that the president could push them in front of a moving train?

I heard that they "should." That has been the protocol since March, pretty much. If you were in contact with someone with COVID, self isolate for two weeks.

I thought perhaps if they wore enough PPEs like a doctor or nurse they may not have to quarantine. If they do have to quarantine then it adds a heavy price for a photo op and wave to supporters.

Yes, the agents are required to quarantine for 14 days.

It is not the same to compare this to medical personnel around the POTUS. They signed up to take care of sick and injured people. They also have policies and procedures to help minimize their risk around infectious people.

The Secret Service agents' job is to protect the President from harm, not be his personal chauffeur for unnecessary trips around the hospital. As stated in the OP article, they cannot say "no" and that is not fair to them or their families during this crisis.

Can Secret Servicr agents quit on the spot or are there legal penalties for doing so?

I did a quick Google search and found the following information. There was nothing specific on the Secret Service website that mentions how they can resign so the last link is "in general" for how to leave a Federal position.

    Secret Service Director Resigns (2017)

Secret Service Director Julia Pierson resigned on Wednesday after her agents failed to adequately defend the president twice in two weeks.

How Much Notice Should I Give Before Quitting?

Although it is customary and professional, there is no rule or regulation that requires you to give advanced notice of resignation or retirement. Technically, you can quit the same day without any prior notice. Although there are no universal requirements, your agency may impose its own advanced notice requirements.

What I have heard is that given that they were in a sealed car any virus which got exhaled from Trump would be much more likely to infect others and that this was particuarly true as it looked like Trump although wearing a mask was not wearing a medical one.

Trump is such a ******. I mean to intentionally put his Secret Service in danger for NO reason except his incessant need for attention is reckless and borderline criminal. I have no idea why anyone still supports this dumpster fire of a man.
