Republicans and RINO might have reason to listen to Carl Rove; FOX’s talking heads think he is the smartest political analyst to come along since Machiavelli, but true conservatives have no reason to trust anything he says.

Rove was an integral part of Bush the Younger’s failures on the domestic front, and they were many. If there is any justification for blaming today’s economic mess on Bush then Rove is equally blameworthy for letting Democrats run roughshod over domestic policy in a time when Republicans controlled both houses of Congress. Conservatives should forget the financial disasters for just one second and ask themselves these questions:

    1. How many unnecessary federal bureaucracies were shut down when Rove was advising Bush?

    2. How many federal bureaucracies were downsized when Rove was advising Bush?

    3. What advice did Rove give Bush to stop the tremendous growth of government occurring right under his nose?

    4. How many new federal employees were put on the payroll during the Bush years?

    5. Why did Rove bend over backwards to give Democrats a few Senate seats in 2008 simply because he did not like the Republican candidates.

    6. Why is Rove playing the same game with Rick Perry he played against Sharron Angle and Christine O’Donnell after they were nominated?

    7. How will Rove torpedo Perry if he does get the nomination?

NOTE: I’m not endorsing Rick Perry, I just don’t trust Rove.

    8. Why is Rove getting cute with Sarah Palin?

To date, the only thing Rove has said that makes sense is “Republicans need to beat Obama in 2012.” But that’s like saying “Republicans need to cure cancer.” The question is “How do you do it?”

There’s a lot more I could say about Rove’s credibility, but you get the message. In any event, I’m in Sarah Palin’s corner; so I’m wondering why Rove obviously put Sarah down in this brief article?:

    Rove: Palin will run

Former Bush advisor Karl Rove says he believes former Alaska governor Sarah Palin will enter the Republican presidential race sometime around Labor Day. Appearing on Fox News Saturday morning, Rove said Palin "has a schedule next week that looks like that of a candidate, not a celebrity." Rove also cited a new campaign-style video Palin has released on her recent visit to the Iowa State Fair as evidence Palin is gearing up for a run.

Palin will be the keynote speaker at the Tea Party of America's "Restoring America" event in Iowa September 3. The event location was recently moved from Waukee, Iowa, to Indianola, Iowa to accommodate a larger crowd.

"This is her last chance," Rove said. "She either gets in or gets out [after the Iowa visit]. I think she gets in."

A late entry into Iowa always raises questions about whether a candidate has the time to raise money, build an organization and meet voters face-to-face. Rove was asked whether a Palin candidacy might operate from "a different playbook" -- that is, one that does not touch the traditional bases in Iowa. "She thinks the normal rules don't apply," Rove said. "If you're Sarah Palin, you just show up and the money comes and the organization comes and the people come."

Rove has been accused in recent days of trying to meddle in the Republican race, particularly in critical comments about Texas Gov. Rick Perry, with whom the Texan Rove, a longtime member of the Bush camp, has had a long rivalry. On Fox Saturday, Rove gave a passing grade to Perry's record of jobs creation in Texas. "He has inherited a good jobs picture and managed it well," Rove said.

Rove also said he is "aware of some very significant people who have picked up the phone" to urge Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan to run, but offered no other details.

As for Palin, Rove has long expressed skepticism about whether Palin can win using a non-traditional campaign strategy. Back in May, Rove told Fox's Greta van Susteren, "I don't think she thinks the rules apply to her. She doesn't need to have the traditional trappings of a presidential campaign. No finance committee, she can raise the money. She doesn't need to go and shake a lot of hands in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina."

"Is she right about that?" van Susteren asked.

"Look, politics is changing," Rove said. "My sense is her people don't think she needs to have county chairman and organizations and go around and line up people. It's just going to happen."

After reading Rove’s disparaging comments it’s fair to say he is one angry Beltway insider because Sarah is not begging the good old boys for money so they can own her. Rove might actually be a political genius, but he does not appear to know that people will show up to vote for Sarah during the nomination process, and on election day in November 2012. The only things Sarah has to do is stay true to herself, and refuse to sellout to Rove and the crowd he fronts for.

One thing is certain. The candidate is beginning to count more than the mechanics because the public knows where old style party politics brought the country. Rove Republicans would do well to remember that no Republican can win if a fair percentage of conservatives stay home as they did in 2008 rather than vote for RINO McCain. In short: A variation of the 2008 rule is in effect for conservatives. The rule is simple: It is better to give Hussein a second term if that is the only way to turn the country around.

The thinking behind the rule is obvious: Why elect another big government Republican when it is better to let Hussein & Company take it over the cliff so Americans can rebuild from the ground up?

Finally, in less than one term Hussein created an angry public asking “What the hell is going on?” Just think how much anger Hussein could trigger in two terms if the country does not go up in smoke before he is finished?
