That was a whole lot of squirming and side-stepping. You failed to point out what part of my post is invalid. It must be another one of those absurd "everybody knows" and "You're a ___" shenanigans. Silly. Just plain silly.

It was extremely obvious where you were wrong. You stated laws " allowing everyone access to a gun ".

You probably shouldn't complain about ad homs by others when you engage in them.

the problem your side faces is this: it is clear to most of us who actually understand firearms, their laws and uses, that the anti gunners only pretend that their main goal is crime control/public safety. we know this due to several things:

    1) the arguments that try to justify crime control/public safety are stilted, poorly reasoned and often are based on complete nonsense, lies or specious claims

    2) the arguments that the anti gun side makes for restricting honest people do not make any sense as crime control measures but do make sense as a way of pandering to voters and harassing lawful owners

    3) that the anti gunners spew a lot of hate at the NRA and gun rights advocates, but very little at violent criminals

Any law that violates the rights of its citizens is a bad law; it’s a simple as that. Those that Oppose the individual right to owning guns have a path. They can work to elect representatives that will work for a constitutional amendment that allows the government to make laws infringing on what the Founding Fathers sought to prevent with the 2nd Amendment, the Amendment process prescribed in the Constitution. That is how this citizen government works.
However, the trend among states has been moving toward one of two types of general legislations regarding firearms, either, becoming ‘Shall Issue’ Concealed carry permits or becoming Permitless as my state first went ‘Shall Issue’ and then progressed to permitless, but even before that, it had always been a permitless open carry state. If citizens agreed with you the trend would be toward instituting greater anti gun legislation. You have you opinion, but it seems it is not echoed by the Majority of citizens in the US. Everybody is entitled to an opinion. Mine tends toward individual Liberty and individual sovereignty as long as the rights of others are not violated. So when you come to the US you can campaign to gather support for what you think should be done; Good luck.

You appear to be lost. If there is a point you'd like to make I suggest you make it.
Ah good, I am happy to see that you are not completely lost.
Now, you see you got cockey and went too far. You really are lost after all. That word "infringe" has so many Americans stumbling on their own tongues. Anything that is legal is only legal until it becomes illegal. You cannot bake a "this cannot be repealed or amended" within any constitution, particularly within an amendment. What you are suggesting is that an amendment cannot be amended and I think it ought to be obvious even to you that it's ridiculous.
That is a fine and intelligent response but it's left with a gigantic hole in the middle ... the one mentioned above. But if you and your countrymen would understand this last paragraph of yours (I mean really understand it) then they wouldn't make such fools of themselves in the course of such discussions and debates. They seem to believe that repealing and/or amending is illegal, even calling it "unconstitutional"!

Is it hard for you to understand that your statement about allowing everyone access to guns is false?

It is pretty plain English so the person you should be asking your question to is actually yourself.

Your opinion is just that an opinion. Your right to have and express it, but, sorry, I don't come close to agreeing with you; my right.

How can sonething be Unconstitutional, when it is expressly a process defined in the Constitution?

That's exactly what I am talking about. You should teach your countrymen the basics of it. They haven't got a clue. :alcoholic:

You need to improve your ability to try to deny things you said without trying to turn it around and insult people.

It's pretty lame and you might as well be throwing a white flag.

Let's see if the English you used above is clear enough for me to properly understand you....

It appears that you are saying that we have laws that allow everyone access to a gun. Am I understanding that statement correctly? Because it's a pretty direct claim in pretty clear English.

Now that we've established that, we can move on to disputing your claim as it is obviously false.

In fact nothing could be further from the truth. But you have an agenda to promote so therefore you are not interested in the truth and in the facts. It's a very common technique used by people such as yourself who are against gun ownership.

    But it's not fooling anyone.

I'm talking about your absurd claim.
So tell me what country you were talking about where there is a law that allows everyone access to guns. Because you certainly are not talking about the United States.

He's obviously not worth time trying to engage because he makes claims and makes zero effort to back them up instead trying to turn the subject around on you personally.

It's true that a huge number of American citizens do not know what is in the Constitution, and, further have no understanding of the context of the history in which itcwas crafted and adopted, nor the sources of contemporary polutical theory that the Founding Fathers were well schooled in that influenced them, nor I will wager do you.

    All true, I’m sure.
I know and understand the groundwork without which no sensible discussion or debate can be initiated. Speaking with the vast majority of Americans about the 2nd. Amendment (or the Constitution itself) is like like trying to discuss algebra with people who don’t know how to add or subtract.

In order to have any understanding of the ”gun issue” regarding the Constitution it is necessary to understand what an Amendment and a Repeal are. These things I do know. Your countrymen do not. Instead, they get bogged down with absurd conclusions just like the other fellow in this thread.

I suggest that all Americans look up the term “amendment”. It is very obvious they do not know what it means.
