    continues

Now would some of you "christians" that like to sit there and throw mud on other religions please like to explain how their "holy book" is any better than the other "holy books" when it comes to such things?

I can't wait for someone to say how you've taken that all out of context, it wasn't a bad thing back then, how you need faith to understand these things are for a higher purpose or how you're just hatin' on the religion.

"I see so many retarded ass Christians"

Perfect way to begin a debate, ad hominems...

And the rest of it... bad exegesis, especially the psalms. He makes a lot of conclusions, ignoring all real bible scholars.

Other stuff, like 2 Kings 6:28, is true, but wasn't commanded by God. In this specific case, it's about two starving women who turn cannibalistic. :|

I'll leave the refutations for every single verse to someone else...

If god has a plan for everyone and everything, then abortions must be a part of the plan.

    Oh snap.

    people don't hate religion.
    they hate unrational things, inconsistencies.
people are just tired of beleiving and then being deceived.

of course faith is a matter of heart but also of mind.
religion should never stop you from thinking and analyzing.
Allah, through qur'an, in countless places orders you to "think"
    or "judge correctly".

A good many of the stories Never Happened..

Some of the towns didn't exist back then and ppulations were quite small.. Its unlikely that all of Palestine had as many as 100,000 people.

Most towns were less than 2 acres and there is NO archeological evidence they were destroyed in warfare.

Most of these stories never happened.. There was no Noah's Flood, no Exodus, no parting of the Red Sea and no epic battles with huge armies.... so I find it curious as to WHY so many of these religious myths begin with baby slaughter.

Anyone can read the accounts of massive slaughters. They simply never happened so why invent tales of carnage?

what a fun link. Thank you OP.
This is the work of a freaking lazy poster. I am speaking in a general sense. When someone goes in and uses the work of someone else in order to condemn the bible, Christianity, christians, even though giving credit, but without any personal understanding, then that is lazy and it is also dishonest.

OP. Do you know who Ephraim is? Do you know who HOSEA was? Do you know the CONTEXT of this book? You really don't do you. You just got a heart full of hate and christians and their bible fit that bill. Christians are the source of ALL your problems. It's too bad you are led around by the nose by hatefilled people who ignorant as they are, still do YOUR thinking for you. God Bless you.

The stories about carnage didn't happen. The towns they write about didn't exist.. the populations were small.. there were no massive armies, no epic battles. They didn't fight the Canaanites.

The archelogists can't find a shred of evidence to support these mythic tales and they have been digging for nearly 200 years.

So... what was the purpose of these bloody tales and in particular the Bible stories that begin with the slaughter of children?

Name a town. I don't know where you're getting your information but there is a lot of scientific, archeological proof for ancient history as recounted in the Bible.

well alright. Since no one wants to name a town, i'll take one of the first ones i find in the OP. Tiphsah. it is in the bible and it is also mentioned in Roman records.

By the way. I didn't want to get into this but your atheist preacher whom you so lovingly quote in the op is a liar and a fraud. He can't even read the bible correctly nor does he understand what he is reading. Those people that did the cutting up of the women? Those were Usurpers of the throne of Israel. What a lot of people don't understand is that Israel split at the death of Solomon into Israel in the North and Judah in the South and there followed the next 400-500 years of some of the most wicked kings of both nations. Jerusalem was the capital of Judah, Samaria was the capital of Israel. These kings were nothing to write home about. They sat up heathen worship and altars, they cut open the women of the towns they conquered..their own people, they even sacrificed their own sons on the altars of false gods. Now. you were saying? God had nothing to do with it. It was the wickedness of men and 1 and 11 kings chronicles these kings. And all the while, God sent his prophets so that He might warn His people of what was going to happen if they continued on their route.

Read any archeolgist, but I would recommend William Devers. There is simply zero evidence for Exodus or Joshua's wars.. Just 300 Canaanite cities that show NO signs of conflict.

Yes.. Interestingly enough the Samarians were educated and prosperous and believed in helping their neighbors. The South.. Judah, was poor, backward and clannish.. refusing to help any outsider.

All claims proven by extensive digs over the past 150 years.

Just because you don't like the truth doesn't change the archeological findings or the culture of the Samarians.

Read your Bible.. Good Samarian.. Combined with the archeology.. the truth will jump out at you.

Why do you think that MOST of Jesus ministry was around Galilee and not in Judah among the bad figs?
