The Brady Act is a dismal failure after 20 years.

The law has been ineffective in doing what it was supposed to do. Prosecutions are at an all-time low. The latest archived information from 2010 shows 76,142 denials. Only 62 were referred for prosecution, and only 13 resulted in convictions. The Obama Admin boasts over 2 million denials, but many of those were nolegitimatete, as they were wrongfully flagged for having similar names as convicted felons. Not only is the law unable to flag many felons, it is denying the 2nd Amendment right to many law-abiding citizens.
