Their export numbers dropped 14.5% YoY in July. GDP growth has been anemic by comparison to prior periods. The real estate market, so vital to municipal financial strength, is teetering with new home sales dropping 33% in July. Youth unemployment is 21% for 16-24 year olds with a record number of kids graduating from college this year. New car sales fell 2.9% in July. These numbers are the continuation of a trend that began years ago. This has implications for the global economy, but more importantly for internal Chinese politics. Xi has an iron fist grip on the country from the standpoint of authoritarian control (Trump is so jealous), but unrest is just around the corner if the economy continues to fail. One reason for the marked slowdown is the world has withdrawn from looking at China as the global manufacturing hub. Most likely because western nations see China as a threat to global stability due to its ambitions to control the region and beyond. I see this as a positive development for the world. Hopefully it will force China to change its ways.
For a second there I thought you actually made a thread without the word "trump" in it. I guess thats impossible for some. I see he is still VERY INFLUENTIAL in your life. Even MAGA folks don't have trump on the mind this much, sheesh! Maybe China will do better once they send some more spy baloons. I hear they are allowed to do that under THIS administration. Here's a pic of your BF, give him a nice big kiss for me will ya?
