This may be, you tell yourself, the most impossible event to occur in this modern day and time but can it really be accomplished? What would be needed above all else to make this become a reality?

    REAL CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM.

When you consider that about twenty percent of the population of the country is controlling eighty percent of the country's wealth and nestled within this particular class of elites is our own political system made up for both the Democratic Party and the Republican party and scores of career politicians in both houses of congress who are engrossed with millionaires, a score of career judges given lifetime appointments to the bench, and the average Joe Six pack and Jane doe on the outside looking in, real campaign finance reform would be the catalyst in transforming the government that is supposed to belong to the people, back to the people.

The film, The Verdict starring Paul Newman with a scene featured above would and should be a great inspiration in accomplishing this huge transformation. Newman plays a down and out lawyer who takes on the system because he knows he's right about something and the system throws at him all sorts of pratfalls and barriers designed for him to give up and throw in the towel but he persists and manages to convince twelve members of a jury that they - the common people are the law and not the system.
