That's exactly what this is, with every executive order signed by governors to "flatten the curve" that not only has cost Trump his economy, but has gone on to show how pathetic of a country we have become. Restaurants didn't close in 2009 when H1N1 broke out. School districts didn't close in 2009 when H1N1 broke out Grocery stores weren't raided in 2009 when H1N1 broke out And H1N1, by the way, was far more serious. And comes from the same family of viruses. We carried on, people died but others survived. The ebb and flow of nature. So, how is this supposed to hint at Armageddon any differently? It's not the Spanish Flu of 1918. One could point to how reliant we are on social media versus how new the idea of Twitter was in 2009. One could point to the illusion of control, such as in the case of toilet paper hoarding. In any case, what we are witnessing now is not nearly as bad as what we witnessed nearly eleven years ago. Now is not the time to self-isolate, if you are not sick. Yes, you can still live your lives out and about before these silly executive orders were put in place. The most amazing bit out of all of this is how many people had to have a virus pandemic to remind them that yes, you do have to wash your hands after you piss. Yes, you can go to work as you normally would. There's no real obligation to work from home. It's all psychological. You'll be fine. Just wash your hands, cough into your arm, and live your life out normally. This is all but one large charade to prove how gullible we are.
