Kinda creepy... but we're already surrounded by cameras, and it's hard to imagine that it'd be difficult for either of those agencies to obtain video from whatever camera if they wanted it bad enough.
At least we country dwellers don't have to worry about this kind of stuff. We don't have any street lights. I continue to feel sorry for people who live in big cities.
Not for nothing but these cameras can also play a role in solving crimes, and they are recording public areas where any citizen could record the same footage whenever they wanted.

Privacy is dead in America, but at least that helps us with terrorists. Good thing we can prevent these small numbers of deaths, it only required we allow the government watch everything. Corporations are now following suit as are political campaigns, as the Koch brothers have a profile on 89% of the population thanks to Surveillance Capitalism.
If you're on FB or a similar thing, and buy on Amazon, there is very little that hasn't been compiled and is fully known about you. Just the way it is. I buy on Amazon sometimes, never been on FB, and they know quite a bit about me.
Or use Google. Like I said, Surveillance Capitalism, they can't stimulate the requisite demand unless they are teying to atomize advertising by spying on you. But that information went to political campaigns and foreign nations who are now trying to hack the American people.
Foreign nations are always going to spy on the USA and interfere in our elections. The only way to stop them is to make war on them, conquer them, occupy them, and force them to stop under martial law. A way to stymie them would be to actually educate people.
You can always stop crime, it's about what you're willing to do. You could, for instance, mandate that all people have a chip implanted which records video and audio 24/7 365. It would aid law enforcement hugely, but it'd be a violation of the rights of the people. Same goes for mass surveillance.
Could they mandate ID for voting? Or discriminate between legal and illegal voting? Im not sure the left can.
What I find odd is with all this going on, one would think the gov and FBI would know exactly who's behind ANTIFA even if they do wear masks. These are obviously vandals at the very least and terrorists at best so why aren't they interested in arresting them? You know like the ones that terrorized TUCKER CARLSON'S house? Everyone acts like they can never catch these thugs that hang out for long periods of time terrorizing people. Doesn't anyone else find it strange these thugs are NEVER arrested, mug shots shown on any news channels, names given, and locale where they're from? Are law enforcement and FBI in on it? Really looking like the powers that be, maybe purposely stirring the pot to incite riots in many different ways like they're trying to do what? Start a civil war? And if so, to what end? Kill population off, declare Marshall law to remove guns? WTF is behind all this craziness that seems to ratchet up daily that came out of the OBAMA era? And it's not just exclusively in the US either, ANTIFA has been in the EU for a long time. Reportedly, Hungarian George Soros is behind it all and the common denominator which makes sense but why is our FBI seemingly going along?
