A video found on Youtube may explain the reasoning for the deadlock of the Israel Palestine conflict in the Israeli perspective.

"Why can't Israel return to the pre-1967 borders?"

That was a question I have always asked. The video gave an insightful understanding of the Israeli point of view on why they are fighting to keep the current borders. Although the West Bank is illegally occupied by Israel, it is the buffer zone needed by Israel between her and her potential enemies.

Maybe the Palestinians will have better chance of getting their land back by persuading a demilitarization in surrounding areas of Israel.

The video gave me an understanding of the Israeli perspective of why Israel occupies the West Bank, but does not justify Israel's violation of Human Rights against the Palestinians.

Israel wants security. It can only be won through trust and sincerity. The Arab world, currently scattered and divided, would very unlikely be the catalyst for trust. With Egypt and Syria both falling into political turmoil, Israel is the only unit that have the power to put a plan to action.

To win the trust of the Arab world, Israel must first win the trust of the Arabs within its borders - West Bank and arguably Gaza.
