If we are to believe the clerics of the Catholic Church most of the money given to the church from its flock are then given away to the poor around the world. Who believes this nonsense? But how could the church muster sufficient resources to alleviate “misery wherever it was found” when poverty and misery are so widespread? How could the church attend so generously to the impoverished multitude while not draining its own coffers and, indeed, while continuing to amass more and more wealth for itself? When I was four years old I had bleeding ulcers..... the Sisters and nurses at St. Martha's Hospital in Antigonish certainly did pray for me a lot...... and I do feel that their prayers assist to get me going on my mission in life. I wrote a paper back in 2009 to 2010 on how the Roman Catholic Church could in fact set in motion a series of events that could end world poverty...........
