Good selection. But I agree the European film industry surrendered their position . Though sometimes they give pretty good stuff.

Not bad, but in my view another pop-clone. It's good for eurovision or other shows for housewives but cowboys have their own clear style.

Are you sure that they did not deliberately inflate the estimate of expenditure?

Can't say that I like Russian show biz. But it is doing fantastically well in comparison with Lithuanian show biz. However I really doubt that anybody heard about Lithunian one and any other cultural achievements of Lithuania.

The European Community ratified the UNESCO Convention on cultural diversity, together with 12 Member States
On 18 December 2006, the Community ratified the Convention, alongside Finland, Austria, France, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Slovenia, Estonia, Slovakia, Luxembourg, Lithuania and Malta. Bulgaria also joined this ratification.
This joint ratification fulfils the initial objective to be amongst the 30 first ratifications, and will thus allow the entry into force of the Convention on 18 March 2007.

On 19 December 2006, a ceremony took place in Brussels to celebrate this joint ratification, in the presence of the President of the Commission, José Manuel Barroso, Commissioner Jan Figel', UNESCO Director General Koïchiro Matsuura, Ministers of Culture of the Member States and personalities from the cultural world.

Lol. So what? Despite all such papers Lithuanian show biz and any other cultural achievements of Lithuania still drag out a miserable existence.
    Sad but true.

Old man, in my view it was just another bureaucratic paper. Sometimes even in UNESCO the staff should imitate any action and should give any empty papers like this one. :)

this my job let me decide what is just what is not, this is the best thing what UNESCO has ever done. problem here that "Hollywood" controls more then 90% of world commercial productions , thats way our governments dont want to see B. Pett´s children going around hungry and poor:cool:
