es·top·pel /əˈstäpəl/ Learn to pronounce noun LAW the principle which precludes a person from asserting something contrary to what is implied by a previous action or statement of that person or by a previous pertinent judicial determination. "the case had been one of estoppel" Civilian police-be they municipal police officers, county sheriffs and deputies or federal civilian law enforcement agencies such as the DEA, FBI, USMS, IRS CID or Postal Inspectors, are civilians operating in civilian environments and their rules of engagement are pretty much the same as other civilians. Unlike the military, civilian police cannot shoot unsuspecting (unless it is Vicki Weaver) civilians who are not engaged in hostile behavior. Our civilian police agencies are routinely issued what are called class 3 firearms-short barreled carbines, select fire rifles such as the M16 and the M4, submachine guns such as the popular MP-5 or the UZI (remember the famous picture of when Ronald Reagan was shot by Hinkley, a SS agent was seen brandishing an UZI submachine gun) or suppressed firearms (entry teams often carry such weapons for shooting guard dogs). The issuance of these weapons for essentially self defense to civilian employees for use in civilian environments, destroys the oft repeated nonsense by anti gun advocates that such weapons have "no place in a civilized (or civilian) society. The actions of governmental units to supply these weapons to their civilian employees should estop that governmental unit from banning other civilians from OWNING such weapons or KEEPING them in their homes.
Good idea. Get rid of the Electoral College too .No part of the Constitution is sacred, and that's probably the most sacred thing about it. It's extremely well written. The legal "sense" is very clear and that enables it to be a living document with no danger of distortion and perversion of its actual function over time Gun possession and gun use should be licensed, and it should be about as difficult as having and using an airplane.
So?? I don't care if they're ALL from 1 state vs the other 49. If they're enough to beat them then it's doesn't matter It's called WINNING and that's the way it works
yeah, the democrats can stop trying to coddle criminals while pretending that harassing honest gun owners is actual crime control. and the supreme court and the lesser courts can start actually enforcing the second and tenth amendments and striking down the bullshit the democrats pass that is designed to harass honest people. And then, and only then, will panic buying stop because gun owners will know that the democrats cannot make their guns illegal. as to the criminals, when the government starts spending its money and effort actually prosecuting and jailing real criminals rather than having the ATF harass dealers for minor league book keeping errors or trying to claim that pistol braces are now SBRs requiring 200 dollar tax stamps, then we will have less criminals and violent crime
I think posting stupid statist nonsense should require a license and such comments should be reviewed by an objective censor before you can post them. You prove my point about harassment of honest people while pretending such bullshit is going to stop criminals who won't bother with your worthless license requirement
This is a significant part of the problem... https://hotair.com/karen-townsend/2...ng-sued-for-freeing-a-serial-criminal-n520035
It is a weapon that every group that sees those perceived as being gun advocates (white middle class conservative Christian males) as their enemies, tries to deploy to punish the non-believers
