How so? Because no one, including you, know the effectiveness of a proposed law.

And you are clear as mud.

How do you propose measuring the effect of a law that isn't in force?

    ideology tends to cloud vision.

The statement was made"You sell insurance. The accuracy of your knowledge of the effectiveness of the law is highly questionable"
    You then asked "How So?"
I basically stated that you don't possess the knowledge .... because it is not in force.

Nor will it ever be because it is a violation of the law to keep a database...good call

Sweet little piece, not an AR, it's a carbine. Still only shoots 1 round per pull of the trigger.

Except for the simple fact that it is completely beyond the scope of legal prohibition to the general public.

oh come on-we all know that drive by bayonetings make that attachment on an AR 15 so much deadlier and those pistol grips allow gunning down school children so much easier!

You're making me want to go to youtube and watch anti-gun legislators speak.

I'm still looking for that mod that lets me both shoot, and cook, a game animal at the same time.

50 cal with pistol grips fired from the hip full auto (i bent that metal piece) with 100 round drum fed magazine *run in circles flapping arms*

Someone killing another person(s) in a non self-defense situation is not a "good guy" in the first place.

    Hello! Anyone home????

I haven't seen confirmation from the NYPD itself, or any gun dealers in NYC, that this rifle is indeed legal in NYC.

New York State, yes its legal as the barrel shroud is not prohibited for rifles.

But NYC? Im trying to find out.

OK, I called the NYPD Rifle Shotgun section, and they have confirmed that the Ares SCR is indeed legal in NYC.

why? because it has no threaded barrel, no pistol grip, and the handguard goes not exceed 50% of the length of the barrel.

this also means that the Ruger Mini-14 Ranch rifle is also legal, according to the Sergeant I talked to.

It's great to hear that they put a lot of effort into things that don't matter at all when it comes to weapon functionality. I mean there's a huge difference between that weapon and an AR-15 right?

Glad it will work for you though.

i am exstatic that I can buy a Mini-14 and an Ares SCR, or anything that shoots .223 semi-auto as long as it has no pistol grip or obvious barrel shroud.

im also glad to see that the NYPD uses logic when determining which guns are legal, and which are not.

if these decisions were left purely to the politicians, they would declare everything besides a rubber band gun "an assault weapon".

Yeah but if you follow that logic, there's no reason an AR-15 should have any modifications whatsoever.

All of those things you listed are purely cosmetic. There is no functional difference between your SCR and an AR-15.

why should a pistol grip and a barrel shroud make a difference Ron?

    lol!!!

cosmetic means they have no function, whatsoever.

if they have no actual function, they wouldn't exist on military issued firearms.

As a liberal I say it is silly and shows the ignorance of some on the left. The AR-15 is basically the same as a Mini-14 but we do not hear people clamoring for it to be changed. Heck, I am sure that I have even seen Mini-14 banana clips.

Mini-14 ranch rifle has no flash suppresor, no pistol grip, no collapseable stock.

together, these things make the ar-15 a more dangerous gun to possess in a civilized society.

Incorrect the Mini-14 can be bought with a collapsible stock, flash suppressor, and pistol grip. It took me a minute to find this on google.

How so? Considering I can replace the stock in about 2 minutes and place a flash suppressor in very little time?
