The Fundamentals of Gun Control Gun control is for the Benefit and protection and General Good of all Society. People in General do not need Guns, because the Police and Military will protect You. Access to Firearms must be severely limited to trained and Authorized Personell only. Purchase Authority and Licenses to carry firearms, and restrict carry of firearms to trained qualified persons that have proved need only. Need is established as People that must carry firearms in connection with their duties, such as Police Officers, Sworn Peace Officers, Constables, Officers of the Court, or any Sworn Law Enforcement Officer Authorized and Qualified to carry Firearms in a Duty related capacity to include trained Security Guards that carry firearms in that capacity. Establish rigorous training and Qualification testing so only the best trained Citizens will be able to obtain a very expensive license to carry a concealed firearm. Sound Good ? Perhaps it may sound Good in theory, in actual practice, History proves otherwise. In every State of the U.S. where there is strict Gun control, Crime has soared, and when concealed carry has become Law, Crime drops. Outside the U.S. Crime is proportional to the availability of guns to the General Population, however, in spite of strict Gun control, many Countries still experience relatively high rates of Criminal activity. Where Guns are not available, Criminals substitute other weapons. When you really study and compile accurate Data on Firearms in society and the true effects of Gun Control since the year 1900, only one conclusion is indeed possible, Gun control as a Crime prevention tool is an abysmal failure in every way. Only unrestricted access to firearms is any Guarantee the General Public has of maintaining safety and protection of the General Public.
The fundamentals of gun control start with the grip. An improper or inconsistent grip will lead to lack of accuracy.
Puerto Rico is a good example of the fight against Gun Control, the Court there declared Puerto Ricos Gun Laws Unconstitutional, and declared Puerto Rico Constitutional carry, you no longer need licenses from the Police to purchase or carry a gun, fill out a 4473, pass the instant check and like Vermont, you can carry. In theory, there has been no compliance despite the Courts decision, and it is still business as ussual.
Instead of more laws that wont be enforced, perhaps we might start enforcing existing laws, like I dunno....maybe homicide, for instance. No that would make to much sense, lets just pass more useless legislation.
no background checks in PR? no license to buy or carry a handgun? no wonder PR is soo peaceful and had no murders.
I agree, instead of allowing charges to be lessened during prosecution, such as dropping or reducing gun charges, something that is routinely done, and many times this helps criminals. In Oregon many convicted Felons are caught illegally carrying a gun, yet the charge is a misdemeanor, and that is often reduced to a fine and the criminal walks away with no jail time, so why have gun laws that will not be enforced is a very good question.
You are a Joke son, Currently Puerto Rico has some of the strictest Gun Control Laws, to be considered NON ISSUE, under current applicable Law, and the Courts found such restrictions UNCONSTITUTIONAL, since criminals do not obey the laws and those laws only hinder the law abiding. There will still be an Instant Background check in place. Did you suddenly change your opinion on People being armed ? Because you made a thread on that topic recently.
Ron, you recently posted the thread: "All Black Men should be armed" Did you change your mind on that issue ???
They only just started recently. Before they had everything you listed and more. That's when they had all of the murders and such.
