You really believe that? Doctors are willing to divulge information on all their patients. And 62 per cent have actually been able to afford the correct diagnosis from the qualified practioners. As I understand it you have to pay for medical diagnosis in the US. Doctors are not qualified to diagnose mental problems.

As your posts have shown you have a low tolerance of ambiguity. It’s either black or white. That is not how the world works. Your “The happiest people are liberals and social democrats” is a case in point. The happiest countries are indeed those countries that are stable, strong rule of law, a strong social safety net and prosperous. No surprise there. You survey these people, liberal or conservative, they'll say “I’m good”. Also these people have the least need for organized religion to assuage fears or feel the need to be attached to a stable social group of like minded people.

On the other hand, there is the rest of the world. With countries that are unstable, corrupt and high in poverty to various degrees. They have people and people are social animals. They are happiest in an organized inviting, friendly social situations, where they are not alone in a world they can not control and they get that through religion. They are happier then those without that.

For sure, anyone who exclusively relies on any one of the various propaganda outlets to form their opinions will have a horribly skewed sense of reality, that will probably affect their happiness. See THAT is what your problem is. You think happiness is about being happy "with the current state of the world" and politics. That being the case you'll never be happy, - you'll be bitter and angry. If you ever meet a happy person, and ask why they are happy, they will NOT say its because of the current state of the world and politics. Those who find purpose and sense of meaning in their lives and see the future bring their efforts into fruitition are usually happy.

And yes, listening to partisan talking heads WILL make you angry. They are paid to make you feel that way. They want you angry and blame the political parties, so you'll vote for their guy.

Surprisingly as a very fiscal Conservative I have been trounced by the State and both parties.
Now I am ready to clean out some bank accounts.Because there is a need and will be a need. How things have changed for me as a protector of the rich they have completely failed us in the west.

I've always seen it as there are the elite [who are willing to do whatever it takes...good and bad...and then there are the professional and administrative classes whose job it is to implement the checks and balances that keep the train on the tracks. Unfortunately, over the past fifty+ years, both of these classes have sold-out on a massive scale and allowed the elite to do whatever they wished [in return for a couple of scraps they flicked off the banquet table].

The Founding Fathers had it figured out and knew this system would implode eventually. The job of the elite was to completely marginalize The Constitution [the solution] and instead give the masses cheap junk food, drugs and alcohol, free porn and sports, a shopping mall on every corner [now the internet], and even sites like this one where people can virtue signal again and again while the elite steal everything not nailed down.

Nobody really cares anymore because caring involves sacrifice and that idea has been cancelled from the Western lexicon.
