I had an hour to waste, while talking about a business deal with my X wife, of all people , mentioned it and suggested I watch it back when we were married I would not have watched it only because she asked me too in my older years I have become much less combative...not that I don't have some fight left it is just that I try to choose my battles with a little more thought than when a younger man anyway the movie. made by Nancy Pelosi's daughter..I am sure this fact alone will stop many from watching it it is basically a hit piece about trumpers every person featured was a loser...the most successful person in the film has a tattoo on his forehead...this guy had a wife and kids and seemed to have a happy household my guess is the people she featured needed money and she paid them to agree to be featured in her film... I know many Trumpers are not losers but for whatever reason they allow themselves to accept the disgusting behavior of trump and other trumpers so if anybody feels the need to see a documentary about trumpers that also happen to be losers ...I suggest the movie seems she could have featured at least one person that was successful...like the woman that flew in a private plane to DC for the January 6th party but my guess is , if a person can fly private, they aint working cheap anybody that wants to watch a documentary about losers, this movie is for you the movie should have been titled...the losers next door
ok. I will give you that Can you tell us what it was exactly when people were ransacking the capitol calling for the death of Mike Pence and Nancy pelosi..some were climbing the walls ,others were taking a dump in the offices of the capitol. Maybe a riot??
Here's a review. 'The Insurrectionist Next Door is both comedy, thanks largely to the fact that Pelosi has no interest in hiding her incredulity, and tragedy, in that she locates the humanity in these people who made some horrible decisions on the basis of a loudly propagated fiction, and will be paying for the rest of their lives." Agree?
If I want to see losers and idiots, I can always look to any blue city in the country and their leaders. No movie required.
When I saw the date and the title of this thread creation I thought you were talking about the pro-Hamas protestors, weaponized in part by a fiery Rashida Tlaib speech, who broke through Capitol security and illegally occupied the Capitol building. Then I realized ~3 years later you made a new thread about something else.
or you can turn on Fox News and watch Gym Jordan get enilated by his own party and make himself look like a fool
It’s really strange looking at where the most vocal support comes from, our primary home and business location is in a red city in a very red state and the people that would benefit most from moderate liberal policies are die hard trumpers — the dental / medical programs they use, housing assistance, school lunch programs — all items they should hate. I know now they don’t care to receive free government money. They just don’t want people they hate to get it. It isn’t forgotten that these people have been indoctrinated from a very young age to blindly put faith in a higher power, I guess trumpism to them fits that bill.
I saw the movie and thought it was very well done. Although I seriously doubt she paid the people she interviewed, as you are suggesting. The most intriguing thing was discovering how many of them already had prison records before Jan 6th. The other, is that these people aren't "evil", just incredibly dumb. The sort of dumb that I remember from high school that got some people killed for not thinking. While that level of stupidity is not new, the whole disinformation media has warped their sense of reality and seems to give these people a steroid boost of stupidity. These folks are the direct result of social media voodoo, of which hands down tRump is the master of.
I just saw Pelosi being interviewed on Bill Maher's show. Her perspective is that we need to listen to what motivated the 1/6 rioters to show up at the Capital. Also, that they are largely good but misguided fellow Americans who we need to better understand. I can't help but think her open minded attitude in part comes from her mom.
Wow. Decided no thanks right around the second character was captured in the scene at the bar with the forlorn country song slinging background. Exceedingly unlikely she needed to pay these first two guys, as they seemed to welcome her attention. Kinda like their daddy DFT welcomes interviews from Maggie.
