In this same infamous shower scene, we see Travis angry and bleeding, as he is forced by this group to expose his vulnerable back side during the torture/rape segment of the sacrifice. Seeing that Jodi had many sexual partners during the time she stalked Travis, we can assume she was only using sex to keep him interested enough to wait around for her to come from a far away state to visit him.
