If you've been watching the beginnings of the Senate hearings to bring an article of impeachment against ex-President Trump, you'd have seen devastating openings by the Dems merely using a documented time line of Dump's tweets and public statements along with a collection of e-mails and such from the yahoos that stormed the Capitol.

The opening by Dump's lawyers (the one's who stayed on) was so lame and meandering that it was almost laughable.

Of course, the GOP for the most part is committed to keeping Dump officially blameless....they depend on the suckers who voted in 2016 to do it for them again in another year. So they will NOT vote in decent numbers to impeach the Orange Oaf.

But if the last 2 days are any indication, that's not going to help them much.

you better hope they don't. If they set this as the new impeachment precedent your buddies joe & kamala are in BIG TROUBLE. I personally hope they impeach him (for political reasons, not because he deserves to be)
You can look at this as a win/win, a win/lose, or a lose/lose. all depends on the point of view

"Mounting evidence emerging as former president Donald Trump’s impeachment trial unfolds in the Senate this week indicates Trump may have been personally informed that Vice President Mike Pence was in physical danger during the Jan. 6 Capitol siege, just moments before denigrating him on Twitter.

Trump’s decision to tweet that Pence lacked “courage” — a missive sent shortly after the vice president had been rushed off the Senate floor — underscores how he delayed taking action to stop his supporters as they ransacked the Capitol."
