Israel does not oppose Palestinian statehood. Israel wants peaceful coexistence, side by side with a future Palestinian state. But peace can only be reached through direct talks.

Welcome. But your wrong, Israel doesn't want a two state solution. Lets forget about Israels words for a moment and lets look at its actions. Israel is continue to annex future Palestinian territory by moving its citizens into the west bank.

Here you say you want direct talk, but its obvious you want to talk because it suits Israel status quo. That being they continue to steal Palestinian land and water and they cannot do anything about it.

The truth is, this UN vote is the last chance for a real two state solution. If the Palestinians don't get an upgrade to their status at the very least, the Palestinians and Israeli's will know Israel can continue to steal land from the Palestinians and nothing anybody in the world can do about it. This of course will lead to the 3rd intifida and probably regional war for Israel.
