The minority's opinion on today's case is truly mindblowing.

The issue can be adjudicated in a civil trial, but crimes aren’t adjudicated in a civil trial. That’s not hard to understand.

The most we can say is it represented a road not traveled. Interpreting intent isn't appropriate.
The problem with all this is the state of Colorado can send electors of its choosing to the Electoral College.

Voters vote for a slate of electors those electors are chosen by the various political parties not the states.

Wrong a civil action can't be used to bar someone from anything and it still requires a trial by jury not just a judicial assumption.

A CIVIL COURT cannot convict anyone of a CRIME. That takes a CRIMINAL COURT. I haven't seen any CRIMINAL COURT proceeding adjudging that Trump participated in any "insurrection". Have YOU? BTW... I never saw any insurrection either. A protest? Yes.

If the summer of love showed us anything, it is that the democratic party isn't afraid of mixing it up in the streets. They believe in armed insurrection. It's part and parcel of their catechism. They believe that every revolution has to be bloody. If history is our guide, this is the direction that democrats are currently headed.

He deserted his post for more than three hours during the Capitol riot. Apparently, you think this was okay.

What happens if a state, say Colorado, substitutes their electors for those chosen by Colorado voters? Trump wanted some states to do that in 2020.

Nope Trump wanted a slate of alternate electors in order to contest the election results that is a necessary step if one is going to challenge the validity of a presidential election. That can only be done by a candidate not a state.

It is not a what happens.... as it already has happened, and the Democrats did it in 2016.
But we play a silly word game and rename something to hide it... instead of "faithless" we use the term "fake"

""America needs 37 “faithless electors” from states Trump won""
Looks like they will have to explain the “Hamilton electors,” a group of electors who have sworn not to vote for Trump.

Meet the 'Hamilton Electors' Hoping for an Electoral College Revolt
    https://www.theatlantic.com/politic...oping-for-an-electoral-college-revolt/508433/

The last-ditch push for the Electoral College to stop Trump, explained
    https://www.vox.com/policy-and-poli...444/electoral-college-trump-hamilton-electors

""The faithless electors who opposed Donald Trump were part of a movement dubbed the "Hamilton Electors" co-founded by Micheal Baca of Colorado and Bret Chiafalo of Washington. The movement attempted to find 37 Republican electors willing to vote for a different Republican in an effort to deny Donald Trump a majority in the Electoral College and force a contingent election in the House of Representatives.""
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faithless_electors_in_the_2016_United_States_presidential_election

""A group of so-called “Hamilton Electors” — nine Democrats and one Republican who borrowed the Found Father’s name in a nod toward his call for deliberation — has been working to persuade at least 36 other Republicans to ditch Trump, just enough to block his immediate election and send the contest to the House of Representatives.""

    What I said.
The Orange Oaf was trying to get the election tossed to the House by getting rid of Biden electors.

Wrong. You have to have the electors on hand to challenge an election whether they replace anyone of anything is up to the senate. Not the candidate.

So, you’re claiming that there are slates of fake electors in every election, or just when a losing incumbent is attempting to thwart the results of an election?
