Please explain. I'd really like to understand how homosexuality and Economics 1:01 relate.

Not the same thing. You want it all. You're like this 2 year old who wont share. Gays just want their piece of the pie. Can you dig it bro?

The wedding industry is a billion dollar a year industry.

With more weddings to drive that cash cow the economy will do better.

Catering businesses will do better, decorators will have more business, not to mention the entertainments industry DJ's and the like, halls for the reception, restaurants for the rehearsal dinners.

Haha so please, try and say that gays marrying is bad for the economy.

Who's legislating anything away from anyone?

Last time I checked gay's weren't lobbying to prevent heterosexuals from marrying.

Don't you know? If same sex couples can get married it automatically ruins everybody else's marriage.

Oh, and don't forget- we're out to turn everyone gay and end the human race too.

See I have a friend in the gay mafia, all hush hush you know, and he said the end goal is to, get this, live a happy life with the person of their choice like everyone else.

    Crazy isn't it?

If they havent yet been able to achieve a happy life with the person of their choice, I doubt a marriage license will bring it to them.

Insane. To think: two people who love each other being allowed to live a happy life together? What is this world coming to?

What a powerful and well thought out argument, it's as if you have cut through all the civil rights, privacy, legal and societal issue perfectly.

The states are dropping like dominos.....this one may well be the beginning of the end for the states with constitutional bans on same sex marriage http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2013/12/2...-equality-ban/

Same-sex marriage advocates never thought that they would get Utah in the next decade,” Yoshino told Maddow. “To have it happen today is extraordinary.”

Maddow intepreted the ruling to mean that the 30 states where marriage equality bans are amendments to the state’s constitution could face stiffer legal challenges following the Supreme Court ruling since those would be measured against the federal.....

How great then that SCOTUS held, "Moral disapproval of a group cannot be a legitimate governmental interest" in Lawrence v. Texas

That ego of yours is blinding you to common sense. By what logic can you claim that your faith give you the right to dictate what is legal in secular society? Why don't you move to Uganda? You should be very happy there.

Ohh. I just picked "ego" in my username because I thought it sounded like a cool name, not because I think I have an "ego" or anything like that.

Also, here's some secular arguments against gay marriage legalization.

Ha Ha!! kolasinski is a bad joke!! This was the basis for a separate thread in which I thoroughly debunked it line by line. Find it and read it. If you can't I will repost it here . So your abandoning your faith now in favor of a secular argument because you knew that religion was not going to get you anywhere?? What will you try next?

May I suggest then that you change you name to The Amazing Sam's Id, or perhaps super ego: the id is the set of uncoordinated instinctual trends; the super-ego plays the critical and moralizing role; and the ego is the organized, realistic part that mediates between the desires of the id and the super-ego. The super-ego can stop you from doing certain things that your id may want you to do.:roflol:

And if the ability to procreate were a requirement in order to marry you might have an argument. It isn't, so you don't
