File this under "I'm really, really, really freaking bored"

    http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Flat_Earth

So yeah, the fact that people have this idea that people believed the Earth was flat until very recently is actually proof that modern people are actually complete freaking morons, and need to create myths about older people being stupid in order to make themselves feel smart. As for some people actually thinking the earth is flat in modern times, that just proves that modern people are vastly more stupid than those in antiquity.

So you all learned something today.

Guess you never learned to read...

The OP asks the question: "Can it be proven that the earth is spherical?"

It says nothing about the earth being FLAT.

Second grade Reading Comprehension brush up needed, bro.

Nope, not at all. Just felt the need to point out to other members, you have no idea what you're posting about.

That would be a huge lie, though.

Why would you put your reputation on the line, just for the sake of persecuting someone because they see a much bigger picture than you do?

Trouble is, your bigger picture is drawn with crayons. Now, tell me how water is solid. How atoms and molecules are solid.

Actually, you brought up a bull(*)(*)(*)(*) question that "questions" something that has been well settled for literally millennia, and you tried to be clever by using a 400 year old thought experiment to do it. The master thinker and theologian St. Thomas Aquinas argued it as a matter of logic. Other people proved it with mathematics. You didn't oven try and fight all those, you instead used a thought experiment that does not lead to doubts of the earth being spheroid, but which actually leads to doubts that you are not a brain in a jar having the sight of people calling you a gullible idiot being beamed into you by a cackling computer a-la the story "I have no mouth but I must scream."

Is that how they got to you, by telling you that you would be seeing the "big picture"? Con-men never tell their marks that they think they are morons, they instead tell them that they are really clever.

Now go walk through a wall that "it can't be proven" is actually there.

You're jealous because I see outside the parameters of the same ideas we were both taught.

You're brain stopped where they told it to stop, but mine carries on, limitless and free.

We live in a holographic universe.

That's the most current "science" available.

    Get over it.

Yeah, he's a real piece of work. Either a master troll, or an acute paranoid schizophrenic megalomaniac.
