THIS is Anjem Choudary, one of Britain’s most notorious men and almost certainly one of the world’s most closely watched and controlled people.
Everyone from government ministers to security experts are concerned he is a danger to the public — which is why the hate preacher has had some of the strictest control orders imposed on him when he was released from prison this month.
The 51-year-old controversially walked free from a high-security prison on October 19 after serving half his five-and-a half year sentence for promoting the Islamic State and pledging allegiance to the group.
That meant he was up for automatic release — and in scenes that enraged Brits — Choudary waved and smiled as he walked into his probation hostel in North London.
Government ministers have admitted they were powerless to stop the release but were aware of the risk — while one leading security expert told news.com.au Choudary had “blood on his hands” and was Britain’s “bin Laden”.
But even though he is no longer behind bars, he is not exactly free. His release conditions are said to be the most ever issued to an offender, with control orders restricting what he does, who he talks with, and what technology he uses.
He will be tagged and visited by counter-terror officers while intelligence agency MI5 will keep him under 24-hour watch. One source told The Daily Mirror: “The restrictions may be more prohibitive in some ways than when he was in prison because he will not have his freedom. These are some of the most oppressive control orders ever to be placed on an offender and he will certainly know he is being monitored.
The reasons for the strict controls relate to what he was convicted of doing. He once led the banned al-Muhajiroun group and has been described by counter-terror police as a “dangerous force for radicalisation and recruitment”. He didn’t organise terror attacks but was considered a radicaliser.
The group has been linked to more than a dozen Islamist terror plots over the last 15 years including Michael Adebolajo who was responsible for the bloody stabbing death of soldier Lee Rigby, a murder which shocked the entire country.

    https://www.news.com.au/world/europ...s/news-story/0bd28faf0b81fa3e8fad40e0f05f9253

He said "FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY ARE IDOLS THAT MUST BE DESTROYED AND REPLACED WITH OBEDIENCE TO ALLAH"
    He also said "
WE WANT TO IMPLEMENT ISLAMIC LAW IN BRITAIN"...
Why don't they kick him out to where he came from ??

When I heard that al-Muhajiroun has been banned in UK, I went to their site to see for myself. There was a "ask the imam" section in their forum. One guy asked if a Muslim is allowed to save the life of a dying infidel. The imam answered "yes, but only if the infidel converts first to Islam".

Convert or die. Choudary in a nutshell.

Simple - because the outraged flakes would go ballistic and accuse everyone involved of being anti-Muslim or Islamophobic. That's how effing crazy it is in this madhouse of a country. Gawd they must be laughing their heads off at us.

Of course he's out of jail now so the terrorist enablers have to yet again fill page after internet page about him.

    Got it.

And after serving only half of his sentence; but hey, his cell is needed for the back-log of all the other would-be jihadists in the queue to serve half of theirs in. Those whom the gods wish to destroy . . .

    Because he comes from London.

There are practical and legal limitations to what can actually done about him. We could subvert or circumvent though limitations if we wanted to but we’d have to accept that as precedent which could be applied to us in the future. I’d oppose that for the same kind of reasons I oppose his idea of Sharia Law.

I don't get the meaning of that - who's his fellow traveller and pedo? [IMG]

Let's give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they're still searching for some credible verification.

Let's give the poster who started the discussion about Tommy Robinson the benefit of the doubt and assume he wasn't trolling to derail the thread.

Meanwhile, from the Saudi owned al Arabiya:
    https://www.alaraby.co.uk/english/n...-preacher-anjem-choudary-released-from-prison

Well...I never...the day when the virulently Salafi kingdom of Saudi Arabia names the founder of a Salafi organziation (al Muhajiroun) a "hate preacher" must be a very cold day in hell indeed.

    Post deleted

Due to its being SATIRE that is nevertheless easily misinterpreted. Sorry

There are freedom of speech principles at play here.

Obviously this is really testing the outer limits of freedom of speech.
Even though the UK doesn't really have freedom of speech.

It's so far on the outer edges of free speech it's entered a blurry line.

Obviously some of the things he advocates for are despicable, but then again there's a huge portion of those in the muslim world who share his views.

I can't believe he has the audacity to choose to live in the UK if he hates them so much. It must be a much better country than the one he came from if he chose to move there. A lot of these muslim migrants don't have the foresight to realize what they are actually doing is trying to change their new destination country into the same sh(*)(*)hole they fled from in the first place.

There's a politically incorrect solution to this problem that no one wants to address.
Why not try to convert him to another religion like Christianity or Buddhism?

Problem solved and no free speech issues.

The atheist climate in Europe has created a religious vacuum that Islam is filling.

Don't they have people who can monitor what he says and then refute his arguments?

No, just disappear him . . . sorted at a stroke! The point is that it's what he expects, and can't understand why he's still alive and kicking.

You are making the assumption secularism has the power to trump fundamentalist Islam.

Send him to a seminary where he can be taught by people from some other religions.

I'm not sure in what way this relates to me suggesting a convicted pedo will take Choudary's vacant cell.

You can't mean TR, he'd need a stepladder to poke his mellon head above the gutter never mind the parapet.
