The Muslims will stop trying to kill us when A or B?
A. US troops pull out of Iraq.
Or
B. We all live under Islamic Sharia Law, per Q9:5 and Q9:29, as Allah intended.


I'm thinking "B", but what is your opinion?

 

When we take all of the hot air out of the terrorist's recruiters talking points they use to recruit young, impressionable minds.

When we stop blowing up grandmother's & babies in drone strikes where we put no value what-so-ever in the lives of the innocents.

When we pull out of all of these countries, and stop trying to play king-maker.

When we realize that these people are a very "tribal people" (like the peoples of Africa) and that trying to force a western type of democracy upon them (unless they truly want it) will never work.

When we stop demonizing all Muslims in every continent because of what a few twisted souls do.

When we approach Muslim religious & military leaders with plans to actually work together to rid the world of this vermin, and we stop pitting them against each other.

When we get out of bed with all of these oil rich countries, and genuinely start to make a real effort to wean ourselves off of our oil dependence.

When we tell the oil companies that we're not cool with killing billions of people that live in the desert just so they can see insane profits that no human needs.

When we stop using certain faction to propagate proxy wars in order to keep the "war machine" thriving in order to give into certain state senators whose states see profits from manufacturing these war machines.

When we send a clear & strong message to people all over the world that we are no longer in the business of war for profit, and that we are no longer going to be ok with this...............

Good post except you're wrong about the oil companies.. They hate a war zone and always pull out.

 

We won't get anywhere until we stop thinking that "the Muslims" are some singular minded collective who all have the same desires. Most Muslims are probably just like any other groups of people. They want to raise their families, make enough money to support their families, and live their lives. They don't care about the games world or religious leaders are playing with their lives, just like most American citizens.

I really don't understand how even today with all of the information at our disposal, that we still reduce things down to over a billion people being referred to as one. You can't even refer to the few hundred million American citizens, or even the smaller amount of American Christians as one singular collective. Lets stop taking our thinking caps off just because we're talking about people that are across an ocean from us(for the most part).

But I'm not 100% convinced that US oil companies have some type of vested interest in seeing these countries destabilized to the point where they can manipulate the oil prices on Wall Street.

I could be wrong, and I know your very well tuned into this stuff from reading many of your posts - so if other's things you could share with me to set me straight, I'd like to see them because "unlike" many in here I actually like to be taught things.

Maybe we should be actively trying to convert the muslims to another religion—say, Christianity or Buddhism.
I suspect though if we go into muslim lands trying to convert people they'll try to kill us (but aren't they already trying to do that?).

I'm glad to hear that, say, while ISIS apparently uses a vile, disgusting, rape-approving Qur'an, the moderates that you know use a different version where the barbaric verses like Q5:33 (crucify as punishment!) have of course been removed, in the name of compassion and tolerance. I'm glad that they have an improved, modernized, more loving version of the Qur'an than ISIS/Boko/AQ/Taliban/Hamas/CAIR use.

 

Sane Centrist, if you had a time machine, would you go back in time and tell Mohammad that crucifixions are barbaric, and plead with him to not include crucifixions as punishment in Q5:33? I can condemn Jesus/Mo for saying you'd burn for not being a believer, and someday you'll find the loving moral courage to condemn them for saying that *I* would burn for being a non-believer. I'd like to invite you to join me in being a more loving person than you currently are. So can you say that you condemn Jesus/Mohammad for saying that I deserve to burn for eternity?
