Here is an excellent article written by a black author about the sad state of the black family in America. The exceptionally high rates of black-on-black crime and the high unemployment rate of young balck males in our inner cities is worse today than it was in 1965 when Daniel Patrick Moynihan (D), then assistant Secretary of Labor wrote and published his famour research paper, Thread started at Forum 4 Politics on 04-04-2012 06:07 PM
I am not sure if genetics plays an important role directly, but poverty is one of the main causes. Even amongst blacks with higher incomes, there is much less value on monogamy, and less desire for children within marriage, which does not help the family situation. Most Blacks in the USA are born outside of marriage. Can we really be surprised that the Black family is dysfuctional? Now, there are good church-going Blacks with good morals who care about the family. Perhaps we should look at the statistics for these Blacks. Progressives and feminists have been disregarding the importance of the family, and the tragic results of this can clearly be seen in the Black community.
