I have recently discovered Twitter and I've encountered actual homophobia but not from who I expected to encounter it from. Trans people, more accurately trans activists. I was in the Catholic Church when I came out as gay. I didn't get a lot of blatant homophobia, just people saying it's a phase out everybody feels that way, or you'll find the right girl one day sort of comments. I was never told directly that I was a confused straight man. But that's what I keep getting from trans men on Twitter. Trans men are female they're women who want to be men. And I'm routinely told that how I'm evil and wrong for not being straight by these people. I'm a bad person for not wanting to sleep with women who pretend to be men And it got me thinking about this. Not only is this homophobia but it is also misogyny. I'm not going to get into the dudes that pretend to be women that try to sleep with lesbians that's a whole level of incel that's deep issues. But when a man pretends to be a woman and compete someone in sports and inevitably wins, that is saying men to make better women than women do. When a man who's clearly a man who's making no attempt to look feminine or behave in a feminine way declares himself to be a woman and demands to be treated as one this is misogyny. I would even think that genuine trans people are offended by this. Treating gender as though it's a costume and sex as though it doesn't exist is absolute hatred of humanity. I guess this isn't just homophobia or misogyny it's misanthropic.
You've not convinced me of their "homophobia" but you have convinced me they do not like your opinion of them.
It's homophobia I don't really give a s*** if I convince you of it that's of no value to me. As far as my opinion of them I don't really have one that's a strange statement.
Since you are questioning the validity of their sexuality, they are questioning the validity of yours....now how does that make you feel?
No no no it's not that I'm questioning the validity of their sexuality it's that they're excluded by mine.
So "treating gender as though it's a costume" and "trans men are female they're women who want to be men" is not invalidating their sexual preference? I don't think they would take it that way.
no. Because trans men are female. If they want to hook up with dudes they are straight out bi. Identity has **** all to do with biology. I'm sorry they do. But I'm not attracted to women. I can't be. It's odd that I have to say this when people seem to understand that conversation therapy is wrong. It was just about five years ago people were saying I was born this way
They just want to have their cake and eat it too. Like, you're gay, its not a choice. But suddenly you are 'choosing' to not be attracted to men that used to be women. Just ask them whether or not they believe attraction is a choice?
It's more than that. I reject the concept that there are men that used to be women. They were born female they'll always be female. And they shouldn't need my affirmation. They think being gay or being straight guy that matter is transphobic. It's like they don't realize they are female.
Its not transphobic, its transdiscriminatory. Ur not afraid of trans (I assume), you just refuse to recognize their transition as legitimate. Which isn't bad (imo), at least no more than women who like tall guys and refuse to date short guys on stilts. I suspect that while gender dysphoria exists and is a legit thing, there's yet many people who claim to have it but don't. They need your affirmation because they don't have enough self affirmation, which is prolly why they would manufacture that sort of condition in the first place. I don't have any data or scientific basis for this, but I'd wager the folks who need your affirmation for their successful transition still wouldn't be happy even if you gave it to them.
I'm wondering if it's an effort to control thought. The problem is I don't think of them as men I can't they aren't by any definition I have of men. Am I an upstart declaring that the emperor is wearing no clothes? I find a lot of gay men and lesbians share my position. I imagine many straight people share the same feelings but feel they have less license to speak up.
An aspect of human attitudes toward the minority that is homosexual is not commonly taken into consideration. Something can make one uncomfortable to see without hating it. A vegetarian might find the sight of someone eating a bloody-rare steak stomach turning. This is a natural reaction on the person's part. In the same way, a man who is sexually attracted to women probably finds other men a negative sexual image. This isn't "phobia" in any overt way, though, if not understood, it could tend that way. We all need to take this into consideration, especially the minority that is often led by activists who want to force certain agenda.
Okay, one more time, you deny there is a psychologic case for body dysmorphia and they deny your homosexuality to give you a sense of how that feels. You don't like it and come crying here to say you were born that way, but so were they.
Still no. You can see it one more time and it will still be wrong. I don't deny any psychological case for body dysmorphia. I just deny that females are somehow male. no they don't. They just told me I'm transphobic which is not an insult at all. If it's transphobic to be attracted to one sex then nobody should be offended by the term. Yeah they're born female I don't date females.
At the top, I'm sure there's an element of desire to control thought. Social engineers will use any topic to manipulate the masses. But at the individual level, I suspect it has more to do with people wanting to benefit from the social dynamics that they perceive as more often benefitting the opposite sex. Some women wanting the physical strength and higher paying jobs of men, some men wanting the physical allure, emotionally nurturing nature or even the preferential hiring status women get in certain jobs. I don't think the average trans literally want to control your thoughts. But certainly the govt and corporations do, and they'll happily push any agenda useful to that end, including 'this woman is now a man.'
I'm not so sure. Tik tok is an interesting survey of this. You'll see a video where a woman who is very clearly a woman maybe a little tomboyish but nothing about her screams male and she'll be talking to the camera what about this says woman. Maybe they've been deluded into thinking that sex is a fashion choice. Maybe they have been brainwashed into believing that wearing clothes are a certain style equates gender. There's a guy on tiktok who is absolutely a guy hell he makes no effort to be feminine other than dressing like a 8 year old girl I don't know why they do this but he's like a 28-30 year old man. And his deal is throwing a fit at a restaurant because people think he's a guy. These people are trans if you ask me they aren't doing anything to transition.
Well of course there's also people who just push the boundaries to see what society will let them get away with. One might most accurately just call them 'trolls'. These sorts of people are why it needs to be legal to refuse service (and demand to vacate) to anyone. If they go too far, the market will correct them. I don't use tiktok, but from what I understand, its a far better medium to find out what trolls are doing than it is to find out what normal people are doing.
These trolls are completely overwhelming the Zeitgeist on what trans people are. Trans people are pretty rare. Like people who suffer from chronic lifelong gender dysphoria this is a very rare thing much more rare than people who put on the trans identity like a costume. The worst offender to me are the non-binaries because these people don't do anything to transition they just lecture you about using incorrect pronouns. But yes these trans activists are cancer to the LGBT.
Phobia means - 1. A persistent, abnormal, and irrational fear of a specific thing or situation that compels one to avoid it, despite the awareness and reassurance that it is not dangerous. 2. A strong fear, dislike, or aversion. 3. Any morbid uncontrollable dread or fear. Disagree means - 1. To have a differing opinion. 2. To dispute or quarrel. 3. To fail to correspond. So on Transgender and Homosexuality, I simply disagree if someone says it's normal and not a mental issue. I don't have a phobia with transgenders and homosexuals.
Homophobia colloquially refers to prejudice against homosexuals. When someone says it's normal what do you disagree with why do you disagree with that is it because it's not statistically probable? And I'm not so sure that it's a mental issue that you can just be dealt with it seems to persist not just in an individual but in society.
