An authorized FFL.... which does not have to be a Gun/Ammo shop that was closed by Cuomo as non-essential

Tell you what, you confirm all 2235 of these FFL's are not doing private sale background checks as a result of Cuomo's order, and I'll change my stance forthwith..

The vast majority of both store and private gun sales are shut down due to Cuomo's stupid move, hopefully people ignore that law and do private transactions.

Prey tell. Exactly which constitutional rights are threatened by the legal ownership and use of firearms?

The right to keep and bear arms is more absolute, and exists in a greater vacuum, than the right to free speech.
The exercise of the right to keep and bear arms does not diminish the rights of other an more, or any less, than the exercise of the right to free speech.

If someone wants to exercise his right to keep and bear arms but cannot do so because the governor closed down the means to exercise that right, then yes, the exercise of a constitutional right has been denied.

The problem with your theory here is that not all FFLs will perform NICS for private sellers. Many FFLs that aren’t brick and mortar retailers will not. A lot of FFLs on your list are smiths, manufacturers, etc. that hold a license to perform that business, not sell retail or do checks for private sales.

Your argument here is equivalent to saying we can shut down CNN, FOX, MSNBC, etc. and we aren’t infringing on anyone’s rights because there are still active bloggers or podcasters working from home. Sorry. You’ll have to try again.... :)

Why are these lines not happening in red states? At least outside big blue cities in red states.

What isn’t close? ...“not even close” is not a strong argument on your part, but it was an emotional argument on your part to begin with so it was destined to end with your diversion. :)

It must really chap the hides of anti gunners watching so many of their former fellow compatriots discover realities of self defense and personal responsibility.

Your media to gun sales comparison is not even close....

It's a free country and anybody who can legally buy a legal gun is welcome to do it.. I suspect many will find out it's a waste of money and the untrained might find out worse...

Of course you have no logic or anything to back up your “not even close” assertion. You just make the claim. Meh.

It’s a free country. Anybody can report news...or editorialize. Don’t need major media outlets. :)

Looks like you have been feasting on their body of lies.

There is no threat to take your guns, but by the same token, you do not have an absolute right to own ANY gun. There are and should be limits to that right.

Are you trying to make a point?

Your 2ndA Right should not interfere with my rights.

What part of that is not clear?

What rights of yours are interfered with by me owning a gun? How would you even know I own a gun?

Cite, or did you just make that up?

I wish, Beto O'Rourke said he would confiscate 'assault weapons', and Biden said he would put him in charge of his gun policy. Would you be OK if Trump wanted to make the head of the FCC somone who said they wanted to shut down CNN? Or maybe you think Biden didn't really mean it because of his dementia.

Straw man, nobody here has said there is a right to ANY gun. The SCOTUS has called guns like the AR15 a commonly used weapon.

It isn't free if we can't, thankfully it appears Cuomo has been put in his place.

How does my ownership of a gun - any gun - harm anyone?
How does my ownership of a gun - any gun - place someone in a condition of clear, present and immediate danger?
Given the answers to above, what limits should there be on the right, and why?

You cannot demonstrate how my right to keep and bear arms interferes with any of your rights.

Except for the politicians who have vocally supported confiscating firearms from law abiding individuals, and their constituents who have cheered at such.

Such as what? And for what legitimate reason? Explain such.

The part relating to a vague, generalized statement of constitutional rights somehow threatening and interfering with other constitutional rights, while making no effort to elaborate.

If it is not possible for yourself to explain which constitutional rights are being threatened and/or interfered with by legal firearms ownership, or even how said interference is actually occurring, it could be argued that no such threat is truly occurring.

Once again, and do try to provide a legitimate, coherent answer this time around. Exactly which constitutional rights are threatened by the legal ownership and use of firearms?

States do not have "rights" as rights are the property of individuals. Even if states did truly have "rights" they would not entail a right to infringe upon the constitutional rights of the law abiding individuals.

No I wouldn't, the federal government in this case is protecting our civil rights threatened by governors, much as they did during the fight against racial segregation.

You are incorrect. I live in Los Angeles and private citizens are not issued CCWs, so only law enforcement, judges, and criminals carry guns here.

Also, basic rifles where the webbing between the thumb and forefinger is below the top of the trigger have been classified as "assault weapons". Registration is required and they cannot be sold or transferred. Since children may not inherit these basic rifles, they must be confiscated. They are taking guns as fast as politics will allow.
