In short, the US was recovering from COVID and then the 1,900 billion dollar stimulus bill was no longer needed when it arrived.

Then the increase in debt and the increase in the money supply without a corresponding increase in assets led to inflation.

And paying people more to not work than to work led to a labor shortage.

    Let's go Brandon!

I find it hard to believe that the democrats would do that.

If they paid people more for not working than for working, people would stop looking for work. It they stopped looking for work, we would end up with very low unemployment numbers and a low labor participation rate. That would cause people to have more money, but less to spend it on. That would cause inflation and a shortage of goods.

I cannot believe that democrats would be stupid enough to do such a thing.

The Democrats aren't FDR Democrats. He knew what was required to correct which problems.

FDR is famous for implementing Keynesian Economics, but he did a lot of things we would regard as right-wing.

Biden is like - push that button, every time. Increase the money supply, always.

And start wars, always, because they're good for the economy.

Corporations use their power to effect short-term change and could care less about the medium to long-term. Worst comes to worst, they figure out how to make the most money off of deconstructing what's left of the carcass and move on to the next project.

People left-leaning [traditional liberals] are woefully ignorant, whereas those on the left are complete morons looking to grab political power wherever and whenever possible. The good news is that they have finally exposed themselves for all to see. Fortunately, both the Hispanic and Black communities are catching on this non-sense BIG time so hopefully will be rid of these clowns sooner than later.

If you click a NYT link and get their paywall then count yourself lucky. I know I've been saved from many a biased NYT false diatribe.
