I don't know. No one does. We just saw the result. There was a secret meeting held. No one has ever been given any information on what was said. However the BBC was no longer the BBC when it came out. It had lost its stated 'bias' of being liberal because the UK was they believed a Liberal society. It had leapt to the right. There was a thread on this forum a few years later of people trying to get a job in the ME section of the BBC. They were all claiming that they were strongly pro Israel. The UK no longer provides the Palestinians position. Before all this happened Alan Hart said the BBC would be terrified any time it had a report on Israel as they knew they would get about a million complaints. It still goes on of course, keeping it in check. A short while ago they had to change one of their headlines as Israel thought it looked like it was presenting them in the wrong light rather than presenting the Palestinians as the ones in the wrong. The Palestinians do not have this power and in general the BBC has moved to the right, no doubt no longer thinking the UK is a liberal country and like all the rest promotes false information. This it can do while going through the apparent procedure of getting views from experts. It does not need to tell its audience that they both have a particular bent and so are not unbiased.

When Tony Ben who had himself worked in the BBC was on shortly after they had refused to allow for a collection for the people of Gaza after the 2008/9 attack, he said - they got to you, didn't they, they being the Israelis. Now we could look further into Pro Israelis financially keeping the Tory Party alive and to a lesser extent Labour, we could look at how they and parliament are influenced by Friends of Israel which works out of the Israeli Embassy, we could look at the bribes they are given such as luxurious holidays in Israel, we could look at a whole lot of things but this is the first time anyone has prodded me to do an investigation. Oh just so you know, the Pro Israeli donors are almost certainly larger from Christian Zionists than Jews.
